Guest guest
Hi , Yup, UC was very cruel to me, never settled socially in the States because of it. I'd always save the good times for the craic at home with buddies I've kept since college. I don't think PSC (hope not anyway) will be as stressful, no panicing if a restroom is not visible, my illeostomy is a blessing. That's why I'm heading home, made a few bob, want to enjoy simple stuff, good friends for the quiet pint after a movie or game. The fear of not being able to do that is what's pissed me off since I was told I might have PSC a few weeks back. Your posts have helped a lot, the healthcare insurance issue was/is a big issue. So what did all those ercp and stent procedures cost you even though your private health care won't cover it. Very little if I understand you, financially anyway. I have no symptoms, at my ercp yesterday the doc dialated something or another, did not stent, I remember him saying that, I was too doped out to remember too much. When you wrote " Do not be surprised if you start feeling angry , stressed , tearful , aggressive its normal " well, by Jasus, 'tis funny, that's what I went through from 7pm yesterday to 1pm today. At bang on 1pm I shook my head a few times and said to myself, gotta pull yourself out of this funk, and it worked, feeling pretty ok all evening, the games the mind plays, the MATRIX eh? Also , when you said " If for talk sake you end up back in Ireland you can stop alot of awkward questions by going to a gp(say nothing about psc) and saying you do not feel ok and after a couple of blood tests you will end up being sent to a hep doctor and then you are in the same game i am in (keep this advise incase of everything going bad) . " I have no point playing games with the private health insurance crowd, my illeostomy is undeniable proof of a preexisting illness IBD, and sure it's not an issue to the public healthcare system. Is that what you were getting at? Like you I would get the private stuff though, 5 years down the road it'll come in handy. So thanks for the posts, been terrific, everyone has, Oh, how did you manage with car insurance when you returned from Australia? I only have a US licience, gotta get a provisional before I do the test, they screw good drivers with 5 years EU liciences, I'll be crucified. Yerrah,, I wish that was all I had to worry about. Enjoy your holiday,, Diarmuid
