Guest guest
Ok, well, all the tests went fine, except when I had to leave the room and Dewey got upset. Then, coming out of the hospital, Dewey saw this bush and tried to pee on it, even though it was inside! Well, in his mind, that's what bushes are for, right? Luckily, he got stopped before he watered the plant! I'm a little upset with the doctor though because I told him that right now my knee pain is so bad, that my nine schedule II opioids do not even touch it. I told him I was very concerned about post-op pain, and what was he planning to do about that? He said, " Well, you better save your pain meds. " I asked, " How am I supposed to save them when I use them every day? " Then he informed me that he couldn't write for oxycontin because he didn't have a triplicate pad. I told him I wasn't expecting him too, but I was expecting breakthrough pain relief. Anyway, he told me to use what I have at home and that he's not writing for anything. -- Dodge
Guest guest
Dodge, I sent my other post to you a tad late I suppose. Will your doctor have the anesthesiologist to perform a nerve block on your leg? My pain specialist had my orthopedist do that when I had my knee replaced in December. The original block wore off and I thought that I was really going to lose it because my RSD pain was going out the roof. The nurses called the anesthesiologist and he came into my room and performed another block. Getting the block was quite painful but it was worth it when it kicked in. After that block wore off, my RSD pain stayed at a level that my meds could maintain. Hope that may help you, Lori >Dodge wrote: > > I told him I was very concerned about post-op pain, and what was he >planning to do about that? He said, " Well, you better save your pain >meds.
