Ilene, I don't think it makes a difference and you could have the doctor write you prescriptions for any vitamins you are deficient in. You could have your Vitamin D, Calcium, Phosphorus, and B12 checked as deficiencies in those cause increased pain. Prenatal vitamins have really good levels but just watch the folic acid levels. They helped me and I was able to get the levels I needed without high costs. I wouldn't do it and ask you doctor for lab tests to see if you need any extra levels. I read a website Fibromylagia.hope that explains the vitamins, I do not endorse any products and she did a pretty good job if I remember from my nutrition class in Nursing school.
