If you have a good doc that is going to take your disease seriously and fight his heart out for you...you are blessed indeed. I have such a doctor and I am so very grateful. I read horror stories here of some wonderful people who have lazy and uncaring docs who simply just give up on them.

The PFT test is very important for the doc to make accurate diagnosis and prescribe treatment.

Chest wall pain, I believe, IS part of the disease. I have had it due to inflamation, pleuisy, pleuritis and Costochronditis. There are meds for all of this. I have even had broken ribs from the coughing. Yesturday, I started with this big cramping pain in the top of my back and runs under my arm. I think I have another broken rib. Hurts to move.
