Guest guest
, I got out in 1987..and have been in the VA system since 1996. Those numbers reflect the standard VA disibility rating of 100% disibility. $2300 per month/some vets get considerably more than that. You can also get SSD along with that AND have Medicare and Medicaid which will allow you to still go to UCLA if you want. The best VA in California is in Palo Alto up in the bay area. All their doctors are from Stanford, so they have the best professors and some of the best doctors in the country out here. Its a brand new billion dollar hospital. State of the art. 6 ERCP/Endoscopy suites..very nice and so far the doctors have helped me quite a bit. I live about 80 miles from San Francisco but plan on moving back to Sunnyvale to live so I can be near the VA. The transplant center is at Stanford University. I have a brother who is going to be living in Atherton so I will be close to him. At 100% they cover dental and just about everything else/eye care etc.. Andi > Have you already gone through your discharge? Thanks for the info > i'll look into it and keep a cautious eye out! How is the VA, i > don't know if i do get out then, will i still be able to go to ucla > as i am now through tricare or through the VA, have had very bad luck > with base doctors! good to hear you know what your doing.
