Guest guest
: Perhaps someone on this list has a reference to a table/site on uterine size. Don't know what " double " its normal size is exactly, but when mine was first discovered, it was 10cm and the report stated 2.5 normal uterine size, so yours is smaller than that. (And grew to 15 cm in just 2 months!) I was told that cm size of the uterus is roughly the size of the pregnancy, so at 10 cm, my uterus was at approximately 10 weeks. At 14.9 cm, it was nearly 15 weeks. I'd make sure to get your own copy of your US report. I found it helpful to be more knowledgable in discussing options w/various MDs. So I went in, and had the endo bio, then he talked with me about my case. Seems my uterus is twice the normal size. He didn't relate what that would be in pregnancy weeks--does anyone know? I have " several " fibroids, one of which is the size of a baseball. That would mean the rest would have to be walnut sized or less. He couldn't tell me the location, or if they were inside, outside, or middle wall located. He figured they were submucosal, which would explain my heavy periods. The ultrasound must not be too clear, huh? He talked about options: drug therapy, which he recommended for me (Povera, 10mg taken at day 16 for 10 days), UAE (he described it, but I knew the initials), removing the fibroids, and historectomy. He said they could be removed, but more could grow again, like a weed, which I agree with. He wrote me a script for 3 months of Povera and I need to do a follow up afterward, sooner if I have problems. He will call me in a few days with the result of the bio, which he suspects will be negative (OK). I did get a bad headache today (day 6 of Povera) but I didn't take Ibuprofen as soon as I felt it coming on, which made it worse. Need to keep an eye on the side effects of this Povera. Still, if it works, and my periods are lighter and shorter, it will be worth the side effects. > Thanks for listening, > > >
