Guest guest
I make it in a food processor, just dump the nuts in and go to town. Don't go too long or you'll end up with nut BUTTER, which is actually pretty cool, too, but not if that's not what you're after. Good luck! in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/highly sensitive to phenols & salicylates/diarrhea & gas problems; , age 3, healthy; and , 19 mos, healthy All SCD going on 2 weeks nut flour Hi everyone. Guest guest
I have looked in several places, apparently it's either not the right place, or I'm overlooking it due to lack of sleep!!! How excatly does one make nutflour? I put some in the food processor to see if that worked and it really didn't come out like flour, am I thinking wrong? Another thing, she's eating at least it's 2 x daily now, rather than once every 2 days. BUT - she only eats scrambled eggs, nothing else. Has anyone else had an issue where thier child would only eat limited foods for a while? Can't too many eggs " stop you up " !!!! Guest guest
I have some other nuts (the rest of my family - haha)int he pantry I'll give them a shot. Do they come out to a " flour " texture? As far as the nut flour - yes it's still early, but I'd like to have it under control when she is able to eat it. I think I read that you can freeze it for 2 yrs. With the eggs, she's drinking 3/4 water and 1/4 juice. She's not dehydrating or anything, plenty of wet diapers, etc. Just wondered if she was ever going to eat anything but eggs!!! Also, if they had the ability to stop you up. Karyn, Mom to 4.1, dx severely autistic, SCD 6 days Karyn, It's probably still a little early to be introducing nut flour. But I do make walnut and pecan flour in my food processor. Almonds are too hard and caused my former food processor's blade to crack (it was an inexpensive one). I had to get a new one, but I don't do almonds in it. I have almond flour from Lucy's Kitchen shop. There are several links on Pecanbread.com for places where you can order nuts flours. The links are on http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html As for only eating eggs... what else have you tried so far? Any watered down juice with those eggs?
