Guest guest
I picked up a copy of my ultrasound results today. I read them and can use any help anyone can offer in deciphering what I don't understand. How big is a normal non-pregnant uterus? Mine says it is 8.1 X 7.0 X 3.6 cm with a volume of 105 cc? What is the normal volume in a non-pregnant uterus? It states they see a mass in the cervical region which appears subserosal and it measures 2.4 X 2.4 X 1.5 cm. It appears fairly smoothly marginated (huh?). Other cervical mass including cervical neoplasm cannot be fully excluded and immediate clinical correlation is mandated. (This is the part that scares me...I think this says possible cervical cancer (a pre-cancer)...? This scares me as I already had cervical cancer when I was 27 years old, I am 47 now.) It also states another cervical mass measuring 2.4 X 1.5 cm. And a uterine fibroid seen at the fundus measuring 1.4 X 1.3 cm. So, how big is a normal ovary and what is the normal fluid in them? My right ovary is 3.5 X 2.4 X 3.2 cm with a volume of 14 cc. The left ovary is 1.7 X 2.1 X 2.7 cm with a volume of 5 cc. (Meaning one is enlarged? yes? no? huh?) The endometrium measures 6 mm in AP thickness. What is normal here? I greatly appreciate any help you can offer and thank you everyone. Please feel free to explain any of it you have a good understanding of...some of it I understand, and some I don't. I think I am a little scared now. Guest guest
Hi T-anne I wish i could help but i couldn't decipher mine either. There is one thing though. When i got the copy of my Ultrasound report it said that y right ovary was larger than my left ovary. Well i panicked because my doctor didn't tell me this.So when i went in to see him i asked him about and he said that it is normal for some women to have one ovary larger than the other. Sorry wish i could help. CB
