Sandy, My mom was recently diagnosed w/fibromyalgia. She has always been in pain from my earliest memories growing up. I'm glad that you recognize that you have to exercise so that you don't hurt. Her doctor told her the same thing, and she now realizes that the more she moves, the better she feels. Congrats on you turtle (always better than a gain.) Are you Melody's workout buddy at Curves?

Yes Melody is my workout buddy at Curves. We are having so much fun there.

We have 9 of us from our tops group in Curves now. There has been four of us going at the same time Mon. Wed. & Fri. but have one more that will be joining us on our days so we are up to 5 now. It is alot more fun when we go at the same time. The 30 minutes just flies by. Have a good week also.

Take Care.

What exactly is curves? There isn't one here in Seguin.

We don't have one here in ville either, but then we don't have much of anything in ville but a couple of places to eat. LOL

>>Janet wrote<< Now, I could go and just use the equipment that doesn't involve my knees, but.......LOL & Making excuses

LOL you are soooo lucky you're not in my neighborhood :)

I tried the excuses stuff for a couple of weeks - too busy, couldn't get out the door in time, too tired, too far - you know the drill......then it hit me that not only am I paying for this place .....but I get really great results if I go faithfully 3 times per week and if I EVER expect to walk across that stage someday I better get moving! sooooo I decided that no matter what is going on - no matter what I tried to tell myself - the minute a BUT came out of my mouth I'd just shut up and get in the van <G>

......and trust me, if I wouldn't have come to that conclusion on my own.....there are several members in my chapter who would have just hog tied-me, dragged my butt out the door and plopped me right on a station! LOL

You're right you CAN go and just use the equipment that doesn't involve your knee - there's the right thinkin' now all you gotta do is take that word BUT out of your vocabulary and you're off on a running start to that stage!! :)
