Those references to the book chapters were very interesting. Of course, the

URL was really long, as you mentioned, and it didn't initially come up

highlighted properly. But by cutting and pasting I could get to the correct

place on the net. Despite the negative outlook I doubt they will stop doing

transplants for PSC. As mentioned in other chapters of that same book

(summaries of chapters), the recurrence rate is small. Eventually, they

should be able to figure out how to stop the recurrence problem and perhaps,

using the same treatment stop PSC from progressing. There's always hope.

Sorry about not being able to 'activate' the URL Barb has tried to explain it to me but I can't work it out yet. No doubt its a bit of S.H.E.

You're right about hope, there is always that to hang onto and I wouldn't be too worried about recurrence, if I was offered a transplant just to have a few relatively healthy years would be something to look forward to and only a few get a recurrence.
