Guest guest
Robin - Sorry to hear of your loss. I understand how that loss can be hard - I went through it myself. I did all sorts of things that had no explanation - and had no memory of doing them. Alot of people on this list have had really tough times lately - trust me, we understand...... Guest guest
Tinkerbell went away to New York for a few days - and now that she's back - her kids are really sick. Also, she got flamed on one of the lists (I'm not really sure which one) and hasn't been online much between the sick kids and the flame. Guest guest
Thanks Robin about the info about Tink. It was on this list that she was flamed and that doesn't happen here too often, We immediately put the flamer on moderation and Kari wrote and told her what she thought of her attacking Tink and promptly deleted her. We never allow that on here. I appreciated all the work she did and I think we all did. Tell her we miss her and hope that her children get better soon. Guest guest
Oh Robin, I am so sorry you lost your mother. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I wondered where you went. I am glad you are back, keep posting even when it's OT, we will be here for you. corky > I didn't realize that it was on this list that she got flamed. Guest guest
<<<Tinkerbell went away to New York for a few days - and now that she's back - her kids are really sick. >>> Sitting here, reading my digests and thinking about what to cook for dinner, I came across this post... and burst out laughing. For one moment (before I saw Robins name) I thought that someone was very psychic! Blonde moment... Robin emailed me yesterday and I told her what was going on.... thanks for missing me Robin! Don't worry I am not one to keep quiet very long. Yes, I was away over the weekend, met my man up in NY. It was wonderful and we talked lots. (and we spent Sunday burning calories too <wink>) I'm afraid my resolve to stay low carb did not last... but the baked potato I had was not very appealing (to be honest) and the wine accumulated about 10lbs of water weight, so I have been waddling around bloated all week, peeing like crazy while I kept drinking my regular H2O. I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. Of course TOM arriving Tuesday did not help! Anyways, I am also looking into setting up a home business in gift baskets, and so my mind has been very preoccupied this week. Still a whole lot more considerations to iron out, but I am excited that finally this will be something I can work at around the kids schedules (school & therapy etc.) If you guys are interested I'll keep you posted. tinkerbell PS If anyone has any name ideas... I'd be grateful. I'd love to use tinkerbell, but fear Disney would get upset or charge me $$$$$$!

I was reading digests, but I must admit for a few days I was just deleting. Feeling too blah to read. Now what's this about no nuts on this list now? I thought we were all nuts. When my kids are sick it is not fun. Both are special needs, and getting any meds into my daughter is near impossible. My son (autistic) woke every day at 2am, ready to play. Congested and coughing too. Being a single Mom there is no other butt to kick outta bed. They are back to their regular rambunctious selves now. tinkerbell

Guest guest
Thanks Susie. It would've been SECRETIN. Very hard to get doctors to prescribe and very expensive. But many people say it is wonderful. There is also a school of thought citing vaccines as the cause of austism in kids. jo <<< Tink, I am catching up on messages and your comment about autism brought back some information I wanted to share with you! A couple of weeks ago, one of news magazines produced a documentary on autism (20/20, Dateline, ?). Anyway, there is a new treatment that is being performed on autistic children and adults. It has something to do with the digestive enzymes or hormones. Da--! I wish I could remember what the documentary actually said. It was very interesting and very successful. One child that no longer spoke, began speaking again. The treatments would last for X amount of weeks/months and then must be repeated. Sorry I can't remember the exact information!
