It is good news that you have a line of endometrium of 6mm thickness. What a difference from last week aye?? That's a start anyway. So you have a strand of endometrium rather than a continuous one? Can you confirm that for me to change on your profile.

It will be interesting if you can get a hold of this chapter your doctor has written in the medical book for Ashermans and post it to the group. If you can scan it somehow, we could probably add it to our web site as a link.

This in office hysteroscopy that you talked about. Is he going to do this while you are awake? His way of doing the adhesion removal sounds very promising. I can see his point of doing that. He will be doing the job of the IUD or balloon which is to hold back the adhesions. So I am quite hopeful for you after reading his way of treatment.

So glad you gave us the recommendations of the "best" ashermans doctors. I wonder if Dr Indman has a name for a good doctor in South Africa??? Sue has been desparate to get a doctor there. Can you ask for her please? Please keep these names somewhere safe and when a new member asks for a good doctor in that area then you could tell them.

Your statement about D & C's and it not being the fault of the surgeon. I can agree with that but in my case, I got ashermans as a result of a D & C BUT it would never have happened IF they never left a big chunk of placenta in me in the first place. So I am not blaming the doctor who did the second D & C who probably saved my life because I had a very bad infection which started to get to the rest of my body. I am blaming the first doctor who removed my placenta (by D & C) and left some in, because she couldn't be bothered to wait for me to give birth to it. I think she was in a hurry to get home. From your profile, you too, had retained placenta and you had a Csection where they cut your uterus open. Surely they could check your uterus if it was clear of any left overs better than they could check mine where mine was done blindly???? I did not breastfeed because as you know my babies died shortly after their births, so they could have given me estrogen to help avoid ashermans if they had the slightest knowledge that I could have gotten ashermans. And perhaps Prednisone as mentioned by Gwen which is supposed to prevent scarring!!!! We all have a different story to tell, and each and every one of us has a duty to ourselves to look into our own facts and to see IF Ashemans could have been avoided.

Your intuition about bleeding after surgery sounds interesting. I would like to agree with you but what about in Gwen's case where she did not have a lot of bleeding and her adhesions were extensive? Thanks for thinking about taking the questionnaire to your doctor. I appreciate that. lets get Dr Indman interested in our group too!! He knows Dr Valle so maybe they can set up a conference with others to help us, seeing as there are so many of us now.

Yes perforations are no problem and although I did think about c-sections being a bigger cut, to me, it just felt unfair that I had to go through the pain of a lap too!!

Well, I've said enough.
