Guest guest
>>MARY WROTE>>For the second week in a row I had a turtle at the meeting this morning. I am thankful it wasn't a gain but I needed a loss. Will try harder next week. #TX 1743, ville I hope that your new week is off to a good start. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Guest guest
My husband has some relatives in Copperas Cove. Not sure where exactly. just know that's the address I put on the Christmas card. LOL!! Isn't that funny! There are so many places I have no clue where they are. I only know them because I address envelopes to the towns! "There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations." Guest guest
>>MARY W. WROTE>>>ville is about 30 miles or so south of San . It is a very small farming community. Don't know why I ever moved out there as most of the town and county is made up of relatives going back 4 or 5 generations.I usually just say the "San area" since everyone knows where that is.My husband has some relatives in Copperas Cove. Not sure where exactly. just know that's the address I put on the Christmas card. I know what you mean about these little towns made up of folks whose roots go back several generations in the area. I attend TOPS in Copperas Cove (Actually, in Topsey, about 10 miles north of Copperas Cove - We used to meet in Cove 'til we lost our meeting place, so now we meet at my country church), but I actually live in Lampasas County on a farm in the country. My kids attend school in Lampasas and EVERYBODY seems to be related there! We aren't Texas natives....We moved here after my hubby retired from the Army. I love small town life. My dad was also in the Army, so I never had a "hometown" growing up--- I was born in Germany and lived there on and off for about 13 years. My mom is German. I've also lived in NJ, PA, KS, and KY. Spent summers in CA, which is home to my dad. Hope you're having a good day. Janet
