Guest guest
All: Problems with vision are common with narcotics explained by the sentence below: narcotics tend to induce pinpoint pupils, reduce vision and cause drowsiness, apathy, decreased physical activity and constipation. From another article: Known drug side-effects before driving. Some drugs may interfere with clear vision and judging contrast, color, or distance. Among the drugs that affect vision are: barbiturates, narcotics, ranquilizers, sedative bromides, and antihistamines. I also found this on another forum and citing it to support what Lyndi said. A member wrote to another: You are right about getting your eyes checked esp. not to blame it on cm/sm. Also, my friend who is an RN is getting cataracts early. Her eye dr found them. The reason why? For some reason, if you are on narcotics for years you are more suseptible to getting cataracts than someone who is not. She had a back injury and had fusion surgery and has been taking meds for 10 years. This is something for you people out there to make sure to have your eye dr check. Also, remember Topamax causes eye problems. If you are taking it and this comes up, get it checked out! I have noticed my eyes dry out easier and that when I take Lyrica I have pressure behind my eyes. I agree that you should get your eyes checked. Some disorders are irreversible and you need to get your eyes checked. Good Luck and let us know what you find out. Bennie
