Color of the water is irrelevant really. I credit the foot bath

with really kickstarting my health. I had a patch of fungus on my

leg that nothing would get rid of and after doing about 5 footbaths

it simply vanished without a trace. It was there for about 5 years

and NOTHING made it go away. My mental clarity improved as well.

I bought the machine because one session improved my breathing. I

wasn't even aware that I had a problem with that! Must have been my

former bouts with allergies and pneumonia as a child. My friend

recommended it to me. She was a professional athlete before having

an accident that lead to five years of fibro, chronic fatigue, etc.

She credits the foot bath and some other full body detox baths with

giving her life back. She, like me had tried multiple other

therapies.

My Mom has fibromyalgia and all her symptoms except migraines

vanished after about 25 sessions, twice a week. She had several

occasions where the water just reeked of metals. Her water was

about an inch or more thick with foam and quite stinky.

My husband used to work in a factory making diamond bits. He'd come

come from work with his clothes smelling like metallic dust. About

8 years after not working there when he did his second foot bath,

the water smelled just like his clothes used to. The water was

black and oily looking.

Although it's promoted as a detoxifier, really what it does is

charges your cells with energy and causes them to detoxify through

the feet which has several thousand pores and glands. They company

owner where I bought mine does not want people talking about water

color. He's done studies in Asia and seen good results with many

conditions like autism. Using this allows people (like me!) who

have problems with detoxing to eliminate toxins. It's great for

people with impaired liver or kidney functions who have those

problems.

Another friend of mine, a naturopath has one and she has had

fantastic results with things like arthritis and lymph cancer

amongst other things.

And yes, you MUST take minerals as using the footbath will leach

them out.

HI Sharon,

that's great to here. Obviously then it does benefit people. I'd

like to know how a person would be just taking the minerals without

the footbath in case the minerals themselves are having something to

do with this (I doubt it though), but me out of curiosity would like

to know how much the footbath is doing, as opposed to the minerals

themselves. Some claim it's the minerals giving these benefits and

not the footbath, though I would say that is exaggerating. At any

rate, someone mentioned how correcting some mineral deficiencies

alone can do some pretty dramatic things.

Being cynical, I would probably use the minerals alone, take my

normal baths (hot baths) and see if I could improvements from that

(as minerals, plus some sweating in a normal bath may in itself do

something).

If that didn't change anything, then I'd do the footbaths so I could

definitely tell people there is no doubt it works and it aint the

minerals themselves, nor simple sweating that is doing it. Replacing

minerals can be enough to cause metal excretion, as they compete for

binding sites and displace metals, so that is why I'd like to know if

it's them or the footbath itself. But from what you said, it's very

convincing regardless. Thanks for letting me know and if it's ok,

I'd like to post your statements on another forum regarding ionic

footbaths.

I had my mineral levels checked before I started with the footbath

series (they were normal) and they were slightly depleted after

doing a series of session so I called the company and they said,

that yes, some minerals are removed from the body. I didn't take

any during the course of my footbaths. Now I seldom do them because

I'm finally healthy but recently I did one after a dental

appointment which I find really helps to get rid of the anesthesia.

It's the ions that charge the cells with energy which are having the

real effect here, not the minerals. This is why the infrared saunas

won't have the same lasting effect as the footbaths. They don't

charge the cells. Magnets will also energize the cells to a certain

degree but if a person doesn't detoxify well, the toxins may

recirculate and end up elsewhere in the body. That's what happened

to me.

What forum is it that you'd like to post to? I've been looking for

one about ionic footbaths but didn't find an active one on .

If you want to try a full body detox bath, I can send you my

friend's detox bath directions. If you don't use filtered water, I

think a bath can be more detrimental as the chlorine is very acidic

and damaging to the skin and body though.

Here's some footbath testimonials from a UK site:

http://www.thedetoxteam.co.uk/detox-foot-spa/testimonials.php?sm

I don't think there's a whole lot of difference between the various

devices. If you look under the plastic, they all look pretty much

alike. Some are just really overpriced. I know a guy who built his

own but then he referred one of his clients to me so I guess the

results weren't as good.

LCL, Go to www.ionicoasis.com to see the foot baths . .. I like this model because of it's durability, cost, ease of cleaning and simplicity. Some models are very expensive, replacement arrays don't last long and are expensive too. Some say you can do them every 48 hours . . . and they feel better when they do them that often. . . The woman who gave me mine in Mesa, AZ wouldn't do them more than weekly . . . She made mention of a doctor who put her onto offering the machines. I'm assuming that he recommended weekly foot baths. If you'll go to ebay and use their "make an offer" option, you can get a really good price. They'll contact you with a acceptance/rejection within minutes. You can arrange to pay by credit card at that time. I don't like PayPal because there are so many spam messages sent out using their name. The only reservation I have about the foot baths is that one must take a good mineral supplement while doing them. Minerals aren't necessarily recommended. I could tell that my Magnesium levels were reduced following the foot bath because my feet were burning . . . If I hadn't known that a mg deficiency causes burning feet, I would have been very upset!
