Guest guest
Your post has promted me (once again) to take a better look at my diet and make some serious changes once and for all. As I have mentioned before, I have several small fibroids and 1 large fibroid ( they never did tell me HOW large). It is in a degenerative state (fluid filled). MY SYMPTOMS HAVE CHANGED AGAIN!! I was having a rather low appetite, weight loss, fatigue, and my hair has been unusually dry. That went on for 2-3 months. NOW I am back to eating more than normal, some weight gain, even dryer hair and drier skin, and abdominal bloating. Last night the VERY sore breast thing started up again after several months of bing gone. I THINK MY ESTROGEN IS YO-YOING! Is that possible? Does anyone else notice these type of things. The hair thing may sound petty, but my hair has never been like this. The change in weight is frustrating, too. I put myself on a good multivitamin with a decent amount of B's, a detox capsule containing many herbs, and omega three capsules. I still doing red meat, but only 1 -2 times per week. I don't get " range fed chicken " ( WHERE does one find such a chicken, anyway? Please don't say, " one a range " Anyway, I am thinking about grabbing a jar of progesterone cream to see if it at least turns the estrogen around. Does anyone have any suggestions or thought about this being a estrogen surge thing? By the way, my fibroids cause me minimal discomfort, with a very heavy first few days menses that is, for the most part, regular. I do have the bladder pressure if I " hold urine " too long. Please give me your input. Thanks. Doreen
Guest guest
Doreen: Have you been to a doctor? They can tell if your symptoms are relating to estrogen, etc. You should first find out why these things are happening to you before you try to cure yourself. Free range chicken can be bought in any health store market. Here in California we have a market called " Whole Foods. " Otherwise you're going to have to catch one on the range. :-)

Free range chickens should be available at health food stores or if you have any farms around. I tried the progesterone thing and it didn't seem powerful enough to correct it. One thing that was true: I had a progesterone drop before the estrogen drop and the doctors REALLY don't seem to want to check progesterone, so you have to be insistent, if you want to know. I'm new to the list, but I assume the chat about progesterone indicates people have read Dr Lee's article? What he said was dead-on correct for me. Wish more doctors would have read it. Best of luck! Guest guest
I was thinking that too. I am not " overweight " ( 5'6 and weigh 133), but I am yo-yoing in a fairly short amount of time. The hair thing, etc. could also indicate thyroid problems. Increased estrogen can throw off the thyroid. I guess I should make an appt. with my primary physician. I would really like to go to a new gyn for a second opinion on the fibroid and look into this too. What do you think? Doreen

Don't know if you've checked that out. Pull down your eyes and if they're not red on the lower lids, that's a possibility. Sandy
