Guest guest
, >> What is a good machine that will peel but not make juice? I peel about two full cases of apples to make apple sauce and it is way too hard to handle that many apples. This I do once a week. Anyone has suggestions? << Go to www.cooking.com and do a search on apple peeler. I have a neat gadget that peals, cores, and slices the apples. Got it from there. It takes a little while to get the hang of it, but it works very well. -- Marilyn (New Orleans, Louisiana, USA)

Guest guest
I use the " natural " applesauce (store-bought) that says the ingredients are just apples and water. Is there any reason I shouldn't be using this? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , It seems that companies are not obliged to list everything on their labels because of something called the " 2% rule " -- if the ingredient is less than 2% of the whole, they don't have to list it. You can easily make your own applesauce. There are several different methods outlined on www.pecanbread.com. Sue (from Pickering) Mom to ,4, formerly?
