Rich text contains binary data and retains text formatting. It can be opened in most popular word processing software. Plain text is like vanilla ice cream. Basic basic. No formatting, just ascii characters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hmmm, I hope not too many. I eat lots of mayo (not miracle whip) and haven't had any problem with it. Guest guest
I get Cains and it has zero carbs. But we all know that if it's under .5 they can say zero carbs even though it isn't. Hope that helps. Belly > At 01:32 PM 8/28/00 -0500, you wrote: > >ok...someone at home...go and look at your mayonaise. I believe mayonnaise is typically 0.1g - 0.5g per tbsp. I usually add an extra 0.5g if I have something with more than 1 tbsp. mayo. -Jeanie
Guest guest
Tara, I am glad to see you out of lurkdome, but sorry it had to be under these circumstances. Let's see if I can think of things you can pack for food: Make your own salad and put it in a tupperware container. A bit of lettuce and top it with any of these: hard boiled eggs, chunked ham, turkey, chicken, beef, leftover sliced roast or steak, pickles, olives, peppers, cheese, crumbled bacon. You can also add avocado. Or amke some chicken or egg or tuna salad...you can make the kids sandwiches with these too. Chunked cheese, deviled eggs, hard boiled eggs, slice up roast beef, pork or turkey, chunks of chicken breast or any pre-cooked meat. Maybe get some pudding or jello snacks for the kids too. Be sure to bring along plenty of water...you can put the lemon juice in a seperate container and just add a dash when you need it. I will put your DH on my prayer list. Best of luck, Joya
Guest guest
{{{{{{{{{{{Tara}}}}}}}}}}}} I know you must be feeling stressed, overwhelmed and scared at this time. Try to take it easy and please do take care of yourself because your family is going to need you :-) As for meals and snacks at the hospital. Why not take a small cooler with you (you could even leave this in the car and when you and the kids need a break just take a walk to the car. Items for the cooler - hard boiled eggs, cooked meats (chicken, pork chops - if you would eat them cold), pepperoni, slim jims, tuna and mayo in a small dish, cheese, atkins bar. Mix up a salad in a sealable bowl and put in some dressing in a small container to mix when you are ready. How about some celery sticks and dip. Take some kids pleasing munchies for the little ones and take along a few easy to carry items in your purse for them to keep themselves busy for short periods - no doubt they will be bored and if you could find someone to take them for you I think it would be best for you all :-) You have done great so far Tara and you can make it through this hurdle - even if you don't feel like eating - try to much on a little every couple of hours to keep your strength up. Try to drink you water. Sending prayers for your hubby and strength for you. Take Care G. You can't change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails. Guest guest
Tara, I am going to let the veterans tell you what to bring to the hospital. I am so sorry for your husband's diagnosis. Is there anyone that can be with you at the hospital besides the children? Do you have a place for them to stay - a daycare, church member, neighbor, etc.? That's a long time for the little ones to be in straight back chairs. Best of Luck, Susie ---------------------------------
Guest guest
I had a chest x-ray last week (my first one since diagnosis - Nov 2000). I was diagnosed stage 1, no node involvement, invasive ductual. The oncologist told me the x-ray was preventative and he went over the x-ray today. He told me that he would like for me to get a catscan because the x-ray came back not normal but that he didn't suspect cancer and wanted to be sure. He said it might be from the radiation I had or from a cold. He said it wasn't real suspicious but that he wanted to be sure. Has anyone had this problem? I hate these bumps in the road!! This is so stressful and I cried all the way home and still am. These waiting games are so horrible. Why do we have to go through this? Please e-mail me at randall080600@... or respond in this group. Thanks and hugs,
Guest guest
, I have never had the problem with a chest xray but did have hot spots show up on a bone scan and had more xrays. Hang in there. Its better for him to double check to be sure its NOT cancer. I will keep you in my prayers and send one of my angels to watch over you.
