>Part of Scleroderma is Reynaud's which can lead to finger ulcers. Well last

year my husband passed away and I did not notice a sore on my finger. Well it

decided to turn into an ulcer. They are extremely painful.

>I changed doctors about a month ago. It was time to renew my Oxycontin and he

denied it said he did not see where I needed it. Well this was late Friday

afternoon, I went all weekend with the pain, taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol. On

Monday I headed to the Urgent Care. She immediately put me on antibiotics. And

gave me enough pain killers to make it to my scheduled Dr's. appt. That doc

doesn't prescribe pain meds so I called my rheumatologist and he wrote the order

for Oxycodone and I picked it up.

Hi Jan G

Welcome to the group. We have had 5 or 6 people join in the last 2 days.

My sister has Reynaud's but to the best of my knowledge no ulcers. Reynaud's is

painful enough, I cannot imagine the pain of an ulceration too.

Have you been checked for Diabetes, to be sure that isn't contributing to the

problem?

Anyway, I'm very happy that the Urgent care doctor had sense, and your

rheumatologist too. Keep those hands warm.

I want to use this opportunity to welcome to all our new members.
