Guest guest
drinking causes your readings go high calories and no food value makes them go up Sincerely, Please reply to dune31@...
Guest guest
I thought this was a good article, based on what an endo told me. He said they usually recommend diabetics don't drink because their blood sugar will go low and if they pass out, they could die. I am not an expert in this field. Drinking always make me feel terrible, so I drink almost never. But, it never raises my blood sugar, usually loweres, esp. beer. But, you won't lose any weight when you drink, according to Atkins on low carb.

Guest guest
Drinking as I understand should not lower your blood sugar . It is hallow calories so the short term effects should raise and not have a long term effect of bg . I'm just not sure if it's good . Sincerely, Please reply to dune31@... Guest guest
--- Yes, the high sugar content does make the sugar esculate. However, some dr. ok a once in a while drink. 's Lite seemed ok for our blood sugar, however, I noted that when I had a cranberry, pineapple drink with absolut, the numbers jumped. That was because of the high sugar content in the juice. Always the stuff I like, I can't have! Guest guest
--- Opposite for me. Sugar esculated on what I had!!! But the Lite beer was ok. I was still in the normal range with one beer. Guess everyone's different! Of course I also had eaten dinner not long before I drank! Dinner was very low carb that night cause I knew I wanted a drink later. We were away.
