~~ question from daughter whose father has prostate cancer

Hi all

I posted here quite awhile ago.

I need some help, with some information I'm hoping you can all

provide for me........well maybe just some insight.

My father is 83 years old. Gleason was 3+4, I forget what his psa

was.

for the past 6 -7 weeks he has been undergoing radiation therapy?

(after a procedure of placing rods? of some sort in his prostrate)

The side effects are kicking his butt!! He has lost 15 lbs, but still

has a good appetite, but the diarreha is HORRIBLE, and out of

control.

He has 5 treatments left (he goes everyday). how long until the

radiation is over til he (or we his family) might see him rebound

back, with out this horrible side effect that keeps in him the

bathroom for HOURS and up most of the night

Sorry I don't have alot of information........I'm just a concerned

daughter looking for a little hope that things will get better again
