Hi ladies,

I am new to this forum--I was posting on the Explant boards for a

while, but now I need the help of women who've had saline implants.

I had my saline implants removed in October by Dr. Feng, after four

years of illness (candida, constant flus, fatigue, sinus problems,

low thyroid, loss of period, injury, blurred vision, bla bla bla).

The surgery went well and there were no complications--but a few

weeks after the surgery, I got sick and was sick for two months

straight, with the kind of debilitating flus I have been getting

since the implants: intense fatigue, body aches, chills, shortness of

breath, mental fogginess, headaches....

I was taking supplements and detox from Dr. Kolb, but I had to lay

off the detox because it was exhausting my body.

I started to feel better at the end of December--and in January I was

full of energy--my period even came back!

But my job got really stressful starting in February and I started

getting sick again too. First a sinus-cold, and now just as I got

over that, I have been struck with my fatigue-flu thing again.

I feel like crap and I am so FRUSTRATED! I am so sick of being sick.

And I am so SCARED. I feel like I will never get better. I am 35

years old and I have spent four years plagued by mystery illnesses

and I wonder if the rest of my life is going to be like this.

I am on a number of natural supplements (under the guidance of my

holistic nutritionist), I sleep a lot, and I eat an insanely healthy

diet. I am also on Plaquenil, which my rhueumotologis prescribed, and

which has been helping with my energy level.

Does anyone have any experience strength and hope to share? How long

did your recovery take? What was the process like? How do you make

sure you don't have relapses? Please, anything to give me hope.

Thanks to all of you,

Lilan

-Hi, I am in the same boat, unfortunately. I had implants and all

the illness 2 years, same as yours, and have had them out over two

months, feel pretty much like a walking dead person most of the

time. I have been on detox, I look like I am wasting away, and am

on most of the stuff you are too. I have had some good days, but

stress does me in, am still on medical leave, but my personal life

has had stress that puts me in bed for a few days at a time. There

are women here who have recovered. But I know how you feel, I am

your age, feel like I can not possibly live like this forever. I

wish I could give some great advice that would help, but sometimes

it helps to know you are not alone. Love Nan

-Forgot to ask, how did the diet make you sick? I have strictly

followed it for about 6 weeks now and lost way too much weight, I

look really bad, but have stuck to it because I know I have to get

this stuff out. Did you add anything? Nan

Nan, I admire your resolve in sticking to that diet! Have you tried Dr. Jordan Rubin's Maker's Diet? I think you would be allowed more calorie-laden foods to keep your weight up...such as organic butter, lots of olive oil, raw eggs, meats, and raw dairy. What do you think? I hate the idea of you struggling with keeping your weight up. (Wish I had that problem though.) Do not starve your body of fats...you need good fats to build healthy cell membranes. Are you using coconut oil at all? Pattynnnttwilliams <nnnttwilliams@...> wrote: -Forgot to ask, how did the diet make you sick? Patty,

I don't know if you remember I finally got thyroid meds about 1 month

ago. Tsh was 2.85. now my Dr. ran tests and I am hyperthyroid. so he

took me off and wants to retest in two weeks to see if it is the meds

and maybe I don't need the medication after all. or if it is

fluctuaing for another reason, I suggested this is common for it to

go from hypo to hyper. All my stuff was all over the place and I was

hypoglycemic. Now i have been off the thyroid meds for about 6 days I

am so tired again and my weight is creeping. I just hate the way the

guessing game goes, now I found out they lost my medical file, two

years worth of tests and visits. Anyway I have an advocate just

approved by the state and she is taking over all the Dr.s and

starting me on new Dr.s that can be of better service to my needs.

And luckily for me she is an Angel and also suffers from Chronic

fatigue syndrome, she is finally good luck for me. I am over all the

repiratory stuff now, Thank you to all of you for your support, and

God bless our ladies,

Terri P

Hi Terri,

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. :(

My understanding is that it is typical for a hyper patient to bounce back

and forth but not a hypo patient. I wonder if you could be low in Iodine

instead of having a sluggish thyroid? Adding Iodine made a huge difference

in how I felt. I actually was able to back off of half of my prescription

thyroid medication. Can you ask to have an Iodine test run? Maybe their

thyroid medication dose was too high? What dosage did they have you on?

I also tend to be hypoglycemic if I don't eat at least every three or four

hours. Have you given this a try? It actually speeds up your metabolism

too so it could help you to lose weight if it is creeping back up again.

Antiviral supplements are good for chronic fatigue. Typically medical

doctors do nothing to treat it but ND's will prescribe supplements.

Andrographis and oil of oregano area a couple you could try.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

-Thanks Kenda,

I agree it could be iodine since I hate fish and don't eat anything

with iodine, I did by the salt now that has it and when I do tha

iodine test it disappears in 20 minutes. I will ask for this test. I

hate kelp too any suggestions for anything else food wise that has it?

I did a 24-hour elimination test for Iodine, not just a wipe on test. The

problem with the wipe on test is that there is really no way to regulate how

much Iodine you need if you do need it. The elimination test measures how

much Iodine you excrete in your urine. Based on the results, a supplement

is prescribed. I don't think you could eat enough Iodine to make up as much

as my supplement includes.
