Guest guest
Sounds great! Fir those on the diet awhile, or healthy family members who are doing SCD in sympathy with a family member who has a damaged gut, this sounds like a wonderful treat! Because we have a lot of newbies, I just want to remind everyone.... nut flour, ground nuts, and dried fruits should not be added too soon. I know everyone is yearning for crunch, but it really does pay to wait to add this kind of thing, until significant healing has taken place. It so easy to get caught up in how good the food is/how many yummy goodies you can make. But for best results, I believe you have to go slow. I say this with some experience - we did SCD for about 5 months without doing the intro, with legal foods, including nut flours and raw fruits/veggies. We saw NO change in my son's stools. In Oct we went back and did the intro, and have added foods very slowly. Within a week he was having trophies, and I was getting great reports from school and seeing progress at home. Good luck. -- Sue > > Someone posted this recipe to another list recently - it's so good I > thought other moms would want it too... > > This is a recipe for those missing a little crunch in their morning > routine. Sue - thanks for mentioning this - I had meant to say it too, but ended up with just a couple of minutes at the computer and forgot! > I say this with some experience - we did SCD for about 5 months > without doing the intro, with legal foods, including nut flours and > raw fruits/veggies. This was something I've been wondering about. Since we haven't really had any C or D we started with the legal SCD foods, without the intro. We've seen lots of behaviour improvements, but no trophies. I keep wondering if we should just stick to it (we've only been on SCD 2 weeks) and hope the trophies come, or contemplate the intro and adding foods slowly. Guest guest
Hi Ann, The recommendation is to do the intro diet if you can at all. We didn't do it, and it took us 8 weeks to see trophies.
