Guest guest
Dear Vicki, The last I talked to Fern was last Saturday. She was still very sick. I know that she is on an antibiotic and that has been sick. I had a doctor's appointment on Tues. and posted an update to a list that I formed for the Fern (the owner of the fibromyalgia list that we are on) and the two moderators ..one other person and me.. I really don't think she has been on the computer at all, since she did not reply to my post.. The weather both here (32 miles west of Chicago) and where she is (in the country near Richmond, VA) has changed so drastically day by day in the past week, that I HURT.. and I imagine that Fern does, too. It is 9:30 Sat night here.. The temperature is 19 degrees and the wind is 15-30 mph, making the wind chill way below Zero. It is too late to call Fern right now. I will call her tomorrow - wait a minute.. now I remember, the phone company that she has was sold and the new one is providing TERRIBLE service.. The last time I talked to her, we had unbelievable static and she was even having trouble " downloading " her messages.. so that is probably part of the problem, as well. I will forward the message that I wrote to Fern to this group so that you know " where I am at " . I have slept a lot this week... I have been reading the messages, but haven't posted - not even to the groups that I co-moderate... Around mid-day tomorrow, I will call Fern and then write.. You take care of Vicki.. OK? Elaine “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” Psalm 95:1-2 I " M WORRIED Elaine.... I'm really worried about Fern. We haven't heard from her in a while and I know she's been pretty sick. Have you talked with her at all and if so...is she alright? Guest guest
Thanks for udpating us on Fern. Sorry she is so ill. Hope everyone gets better too. I know the weather can really be a huge pain aggravator. It turned out to be 82 here today, (don't be mad, I am not the weather man) and we were all suprised/ This kind of weather after what we have had recently makes for lots of allergy and sinus problems in my family. Guest guest
I finally got to talk to Fern. I had called and her son said she was sleeping and she called me back. and Fern are both on antibiotics for sinus/respiratory infections. Fern gets very " wiped out " on antibiotics. She spent the majority of her time this week sleeping. Plus, her doctor told her to increase the Paxil and it was too much for her.. and she couldn't stay awake.. it took a few days for it to get out of her system. She hasn't been on the computer for over 10 days.. hasn't done much other than sleep, wake & eat and take meds and fall asleep again. Fern is very uptight since she has not done any Christmas shopping yet and she is going to her mother's on Dec. 23 with her family.. spent Friday night at a friends house and was supposed to spend Sat night there as well.. He didn't feel well last night.. Fern and Bobby went to his company's Christmas party in Richmond and when they got home there was a call from the mother of the child where was staying saying that wanted to come home.. So, was brought home at 11 last night and Fern thinks he may have the infection that and she has... As of noontime, was still asleep.... Fern told me that she doubts if she will get on the computer before Wed.. Fern had SEVERE thunderstorms all last night and her POODLE is scared.. The poodle climbed on the bed and lay on top of Fern's chest shivering and whining... Fern has lots of chest pain and the dog didn't help matters...and she is more tired today. They also had a power outage.. and her phone is STILL messed up. I have to go now.. I am hurting... everywhere. It is 3 degrees out.. the wind is from the west at an average of 28 mph and the wind-chill is MINUS FORTY TWO DEGREES!! We had some flurries this morning and are supposed to get more later today.. I am going to take a nap.. Each of you take care of yourselves.. Elaine “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” Psalm 95:1-2 I " M WORRIED Elaine.... I'm really worried about Fern.
