Irene,

Your pulmonary doc sounds like a doozy! When I call my pulmo, HE HIMSELF always calls back within a couple of hours. Sometimes sooner. This disease can turn ugly so quickly that you do not need to be put off. Check with Caring Voice about getting help with your meds.

I pray that things will turn for the better...soon!

Madeline,

Yes, you are supposed to let the power company know that you are on 02. They will put you on a priority list in case of an outage. I did not see that story. Yes, it is scary!

Irene,

Just a quick thought...you might consider calling the store where you picked up your prescription and speaking to the pharmacist. They really are highly educated professionals and are extremely knowledgable when it comes to drug reactions, side effects and interactions. As a bonus they are usually alot easier to get on the phone than our doctors.

Hope that helps!

Madeline,

When Apria delivered my oxygen concentrator the suggested that I call the electric company to let them know that I was on O2 just in case the power went off. Getting my electricity back on would be a priority for them. The electric company sent me a form for the Dr. to fill out explaining my need for an oxygen concentrator.

Hi all:: I am reading the posts and it pisses me off how doctors give meds without seeing what it can do to her patients!!!!I took Celebrex for a long time when I was first diagnosed with RA!!!I was taking 1 everyday!!! It wasn't working I was in a lot of pain!! my RA DR, said start taking 2 a day.. and I was in so much pain I did... My heart was dancing the Mambo.. When I called the doctors office to tell him .. he called 2 days later.. That's why now that I have finally found a doctor that actually cares about his patients.. You grab on to that doctor like there is no tomorrow.. I changed my Ra doc after that.. If you feel wrong about a med,, Stop taking it.. because if the doctor doesn't call back you can get worse.. I went to my GP, he checked my heart , did a EKG, my beats 140 .. I thought I was having a heart attack.. Don't play with this

Irene!! If you don't feel right.. go to the ER... Don't wait for any doctor.. take care everyone.. Love ya, Oly
