thanks so much.

Sam woke up at midnight and vomited! That last thing he had eaten was

hamburger patty at 4pm. He would not eat the chicken leg, chicken

pancakes, cooked carrots, pear sauce, farmer's cheese, or pineapple

" soda " that I offered at 6pm.

He was shaking so I figured he probably had really low blood sugar. I

pulled out pineapple " jello, " cooked carrots, banana, cheddar cheese.

He had 3 one inch pieces of banana, half a cooked baby carrot, and

probably half a slice of cheese. He just wanted to go back to bed,

poor guy. Then he vomited it all up. sigh

I am assuming this has something to do with a combination of die off

and low blood sugar. He will drink water so I know he is not

dehydrated. I just wish he would try some " jello " It's very yummy.

But this new diet has him really bummed and he has never even had Jello

" jello " so it's all new to him. Poor thing just wants a peanut butter

sandwich.

I'm up late typing this hoping someone has a response when I wake up

tomorrow.

Thanks

Actually, vomiting is not uncommon at the beginning of the diet. I have

heard many parents say their child was sick the first week of the diet. Also,

at

this time of year, there is always the question of it being a stomach virus or

something.

Sorry you are having such a hard time, but this should pass.

Oh honey, do you think he has any kind of virus? If this is from low blood

sugar, indeed, then I would be scared for him. I don't mean to alarm you but

I'm concerned. Let us know if things improve. Maybe vomiting is normal early

on but I've never heard so, and I'd hate to see him get any worse. Do you have

a Dr assisting you with him at all?

Still praying for ya!

, Yes, vomiting can be a common experience for some of the kids,

unfortunately. This should be very temporary.

Chrystee........ It's the bad gut bugs that are craving that sandwich......

and they are gonna let their needs be known, loud and clear! Don't give in to

them! Hang in there and give him an epsom salts bath...... maybe activated

charcoal if you can get it into him somehow.

Hi Chrystee,

I always get the shakes if I vomit, same with my children.

If the vomiting continues some diluted juice or the electrolyte drink

http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/electrolyte_drink.htm

should keep Sam from becoming dehydrated.

Don't give just straight water.
