Question re BPD

I just wanted to get your input regarding a particular trait of nada's that I

have noticed for a few years now.  I realised this long before I knew anything

about BPD and this has been confirmed entirely at random by a cousin and a

friend (who noticed it in the 1980s).  It is that she is extremely jealous of me

and very competitive with me.  She always has to be the centre of attention but

even when there is no one there, she is still competitve and jealous. Has anyone

noticed this and do you have any input?

The other thing, which I guess does fit in with BPD (not sure if the jealousy

thing does), is the fact that she is not at all, and has not been since my

father died, interested in anything to do with me personally. When I developed a

health issue, it took me about 5 years before I mentioned it to her, then when I

did, hey presto, she developed the exact same condition within 2 weeks!

Incredible because it is one of those things that you cannot really tell your

body to do, like high blood pressure or diabetes. She is not interested in

anything to do with me personally at all. Even if I am sitting there all

bandaged up, she will not say, *what is wrong?*. It is basically, " that is your

problem, get on with it " , or " we all went through it, so it is your turn

now " . Of course, this intensifies the parentified relationship that I have with

her where I am constantly playing the parent of a bad tempered, mean spirited

child and my child is nothing like

that.  Perhaps I have not hit those real teen years yet. Hopefully, never, as

nada has been plenty.

Just wondered what you all thought about these two aspects?
