Guest guest
Hi Jo'Ann, I am Dawn - from Nevada and I just joined this group. What type of chemo are you on? I finished mine in January - 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxin - and was never told not to eat fresh fruit or vegetables... I do know that if your white count is still down when you go in on Thursday they will probably not give you your chemo. I did not experience fatigue like you mentioned - but then my whites only dipped once - after my first treatment - and after that they were fine. Hoping it all goes well for you.....and that someone else has answers for you! Hugs, Dawn ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
Hi JoAnn, I am sorry about your chemo making you so weak. I didn't have that problem but I am sure some of the other ladies might have and they will get back with you. I will keep you in my prayers and send one of my angels to watch over you. Be sure to tell all of this to the doctor. Hugs nne > Hey girls, > > Having taken chemo a few weeks ago my white cell count went down and > Saturday I found myself in the emergency room. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I'm also on 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxin. Have one Radiation and then take the Tamoxifen for 5 years. They told me that there is/are certain bacteria in fuits and vegetables that could be bad for me during the time my white cell count is low... Thanks for responding. Love, JoAnn :-) Re: fatigue after chemo Hi Jo'Ann, I am Dawn - from Nevada and I just joined this group. What type of chemo are you on? Maybe they would have told me that if my counts dropped too low or something! I'm going in for a bone scan tomorrow. Wish me luck! Oh! Have a question for you all. A couple of days ago I noticed what appears to be a small pimple on my mastectomy scar.... I've been watching it and today - this morning or was it yesterday morning - I looked at it and it appeard to have a white head....- its red all around it (not more than 1/4 " in diameter).... Could it be like an ingrown hair spot? I go back to my surgeon soon - within 2 weeks or so - but I was just wondering if I should be worried (like everything worries me these days!!!).... Guess I haven't properly introduced myself (or did I?? sorry - took a trip today and I'm so tired.) I'm Dawn/Nevada - had mastectomy in October (halloween!) - 22 nodes removed, no lymph node involvement.... 4 chemo a/c and now I'm on my own. Bone scan tomorrow is because the last one they did in Oct showed an area they just wanted to recheck in 6 months. Any questions? Haven't read the archives to see what kind of info you share... so I'm just kind of jumpin in at the middle! Hugs to you all! Can't wait to get t o know you better! ~Dawn~ On Wed, 27 Mar 2002 14:51:44 -0500 " JoAnn " writes: > Hi Dawn, > > I'm also on 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxin. Guest guest
Hi Dawn! Welcome! It sounds to me like possibly what we call a white head (pimple). I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you are concerned or it gets worse call your primary care doctor and have him look at it. I will keep you in my prayers for a good report on your bone scan. hugs nne > On Wed, 27 Mar 2002 14:51:44 -0500 " JoAnn " <lilredgil@u...> writes: > >They told me that there is/are certain bacteria in fuits and > vegetables that could > >be bad for me during the time my white cell count is low... > > wow - never knew that.
