Guest guest
, You would think he would have an interest in finding what IS wrong with you, instead of guessing. What walks like a duck isn’t always a duck! My serotonin and dopamine were that of a depressed person too but I was never depressed. Kenda Kenda, He didn't diagnose me with clinical depression. He said the cortisol patterns from the canary test are " indicative of someone who is clinically depressed " . Then he went into a discussion about some antidepressant he gives people. He then told me to get off my Armour and wean down off the Cortef, if I wanted. Still...even though he brought this up...he didn't check for any brain chemistry levels... > >>>>> > >> > > >>>>> > >> > ~ > >>>>> > >> > That is good. How did your endo appt go? Guest guest
I was put on Zoloft after I had my daughter because my doctor thought I was depressed. I took it for a few weeks and quit because I felt worse being on the Zoloft too. If you are not depressed, anti-depressants don’t help. Kenda , I was put on Zoloft as well several years back, and at 3 weeks, I was totally depressed and crying everyday on the way home, chest pain and many days I dont remember the 29 mile drive home, before the zoloft, I was perfectly fine, mentally, just had silicone poisening, and was sick as heck. I dont trust doctors or drugs...........sad........no faith in medical science.......not as it is today........what a ....Mystery ........... Guest guest
DeDe, Yes we are suppose to overlook their lateness because they are doctors. When I arrived, there was no one else in the sitting room. Never saw anyone else. Must have been a slow day. So slow, he probably did something else before coming to the office for his appointment with me. > > ~ > I think you need to send him a bill for an hour and a half of your > valuable time. Guest guest
, I feel your pain. My doctor's office had me on anti-depressants and kept telling me I had anxiety!! Guest guest
~ I am glad I made you laugh. I was on a roll yesterday. I know I am dogging men, and I dont mean to, but most of ( actually) all my deceptive doctors have been men ! ! I have had a couple in my lifetime that were real men and practiced medicine as one should. Laughter is wonderful and gets my endorphins going, something I dont think I have much of........ I looked up in a chemistry site about the hypothalmus and endorphins and how all that works, and I think that is an integral part of what goes on with many of us, and links to the adrenals. I will see if I can find that site and I will post it for you and who ever wants to explore it. A friend of mine actually sent it to me, he got a bio-chemist degree at Cornell, and is very intelligent. Anyway, hope your day today is good, and by far less frustrating. Guest guest
that is a good idea. There is a test by Spectra Cell , that one of my doctors did on me and it revealed I was severly vitamin deficient, and glucose-insulin deficient was one of the ones I flunked ! ! Interestingly enough, I researched it alot, cuz I couldnt afford her 70 a month vitamins, and I found that I was also depleted in chromium, which when you are, it can cause the glucose insulin deficiency........ I am taking a vitamin with chromium in it, and guess what???? my sugars have been good, and they were bouncing around from 70-170.........So, anyway.........ck with your doctor and see if he will do this test for you. Suposedly insurance and medicare will cover it. The 5000 test is the one I had. I would be interested to see how I score now, but it was a very expensive test, not in my budget.....Have a good day ~ Hugs N Hope ~ DSee what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
~ It is my belief, once your body has been invaded by what ever, that takes you out of the normal and normal ranges for comparison on anything in your health. You can not take 2 people, one that is healthy and one that is not, and expect them to both have the same "normal" statistics. Like my range of blood pressure that I feel best at is 80/50 to 90/60, and many people feel best at 120/80 or 110/70 or what ever. See what I mean?? A blood sugar of 150 for me makes me feel bad, but for my friend that is full blown diabetic, they feel best at 150-175. Doctors are too lazy to see beyond a graft that was made up for normal people. They dont use a graft made from the ill, how stupid is that?????..........Sending positive healing energy to you.........Hugs ~ DedeSee what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
I agree. We all get " down " about what is happening with our bodies..and I have tried hard to stay positive by continuing to do the research to figure out what my doctor has not. Granted, it gets tiresome. But I am not going to mess with results. I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks on my little bit of Armour and the Cortef. He told me I would get " fatter " on the Cortef...and after a month of being on it, that has not been the case. Cortisol is needed, along with appropriate levels of all other hormones for your body to process carbs, fats and proteins correctly. My body was storing everything I ate, which was not much by the way, and was not using it for energy....since my energy regulators were way low (thryoid, adrenals..etc.). Makes sense to me and this is what I believe. You body needs a lot of energy to detox properly. Without it, a person can not effectively detox. Besides...what is the difference in taking physiological doses of Cortef for adrenal status versus...taking thryoid hormone for low thryoid or hormone replacement because our ovaries are shot or insulin if one has diabetes due to pancreatic problems or even anti- depressants which affect a persons hypothalmus and pituitary. Every thing we take affects " something " . The decision is " are you better off with it or without it " and " how do you want to feel and live " . This is the way I look at it. And all I am taking if the Armour and the Cortef....nothing else. > > Ya know ~ It is normal to have some depression. being sick and > doctors not being intelligent enough to treat us, but hey, it is a normal amount, > and your body is suposed to be equipped to handle it with reserves, or chain > of command in the hormone department. Guest guest
, I totally agree with you on this point....I think it makes total sense that if we take supplemental hormones for the thyroid when it is struggling, estrogens when our reproductive system is slowing down, insulin for a tired pancreas, and other supplemental hormones when the glands are failing us, then we may need to support the adrenal glands as well. Or do the doctors think that adrenal glands are super glands and are exempt from needing support at all? It seems to me that there are gazillions of people walking around out there with not only subclinical thyroid problems, but subclinical adrenal problems as well. We live in a chemically adulterated world--our glands have got to be struggling under the weight of this burden. Could it be that having implants is the straw that breaks that camel's back for those of us with weaker adrenal function to begin with, or with more severe toxic exposures? Why can't doctors see the need to consider this area of need with more seriousness? At least look at the possibility and use the bio-identical hormones if symptoms warrant it. Sheesh. They are so stingy about treatment. I am glad to hear you are finding answers to your needs. You've done some great work! I've had the same trouble with my body storing everything I eat, though I am eating like a little bird. It's so very frustrating. Adding iodine and upping my thyroid hormones made a difference (I lost almost 5 lbs in a few weeks), but I am thinking addressing the adrenal issues in conjunction may be the final puzzle piece for losing these last pounds that I desire to. Thanks for all your input. Patty sedwards41255 <sedwards41255@...> wrote: I agree. Guest guest
Patty, Thanks for your supportive comments here. I wish we could somehow answer the question about implants. Could it be that those that react immediately have " unknown " low adrenal status to begin with? (maybe in Gretchens case and others?) Could it be that for some " implants " gradually wear the body down and then there are problems ..as in my case and others who had them several and many plus years? Could it be that the combination of stressors in our lives...affects the way our body carries the " load of implants " ? So many questions and not enough answers ...considering how long these things have been on the market. > > > > Ya know ~ It is normal to have some depression. being sick > and > > doctors not being intelligent enough to treat us, but hey, it is a > normal amount, > > and your body is suposed to be equipped to handle it with reserves, > or chain > > of command in the hormone department.
