Guest guest
Monika - This diet is designed to heal the gut. I feel it is having that effect on my son. Good luck! Zachary 4.4 ASD? SCD 4 months
Guest guest
hi everyone! I am planning to start this diet after been gfcf for one year.My daughter is six year old and we are having serious problem with her yeast overgrowth. So I was advised to start scd for my daughetr. SHe seems very tired all the time and we were advised by pffiefer clinic to start with UVa ursi some medicine to get rid of bad bacteria(E-Coli) in her system. And this medicine can cause yeast die off rection. I am just curious if putting her on scd can alone help us to get rid of her bad bacteria . How to start this diet effectively? When we started gfcf we did cold turkey. She had bad reaction. Her gut is in no way healed with gfcfdiet. Before starting I want to make sure If this is going to heal her gut or not. I am feeling very helpless now. Please advice how to start? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Monika, Yes, many of us have seen gut healing in our children. My daughter had " pudding poop " and after SCD moved to constipation, and now normal stools (with the help of a tiny bit of magnesium). She had a very bloated tummy which disappeared in a few weeks. You need to start with the intro diet, and go slowly as you introduce new foods. This board will be very helpful for you in implementing SCD. Welcome, Sue (From Pickering) Mom to , 4, formerly?
