Guest guest
Gretchen, If you would keep writing everything down, you can always look at it and see what you have done and what you need to do. I have had to do that alot. Just get into the routine of writing everything down........ hugs ~ DAOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com. Guest guest
Gretchen, I had my implants removed in 1994 and I still have to stay off things that make fungus/yeast grow. . . I didn't want to tell you that you'd have to follow an antifungal diet the rest of your life . . . But you may have to! Right now, just take it one day at a time. Get the book "The Yeast Connection" . . . It will tell you how bad you can get messed up if you don't take care of yourself . .. That mental fog is just part of it. It's doing terrible things to your body too. As time goes by, you'll be able to cheat A LITTLE BIT . . . but, if it's going to make you start over every time, it's hardly worth it. Is it? Yeast IS a form of fungus . . . there are hundreds of different types. Not all are dangerous . .. but the bad ones are really, really bad! If I had a magic pill that would make this go away for everyone, I'd be famous . . . not to mention rich . . . But there's no such thing! . . . You are the only one who can fix this . .. and you have to do it for yourself. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Yes, Gretchen, it can take a year or more to get your body back on track. It took me two years to even think I would live. Just take it a day at a time and keep working on it. Guest guest
You will feel better over time but yes, it should take a year to get over the mold problem you have -- and that's if you are diligent with the diet and meds. Guest guest
Write down what you can't remember. If you absolutely do the diet you will recover soon enough. Guest guest
You will get better gradually over time, it won't take a year to feel better. Guest guest
Gretchen, You won't know how long it will take to go back to work until you stick to the program faithfully. You need to keep a journal . . . Write down your schedule for meds and supplements . . . Then write down everything you do every day, and how you feel. . . Then you will be able to follow your program. You'll be able to look back and see the correlation between a healthy program and feeling better. This doesn't mean you won't hit bad spots now and then. That's to be expected. . . But overall, you should start seeing more good days than bad days until the bad days all but disappear. Also, write down how bad you feel so, when you're tempted to cheat on your program, you will remember WHY you want to stick to your program. It really works - but you have to do it for yourself! Guest guest
Gretchen, Try to eat as many as 12 cloves of garlic a day . . . Since the cloves vary in size so much, try for a tablespoon of garlic three times a day . . . I'd suggest starting slow though . . . that much may make your tummy feel like you declared war on it . . . But if you can handle your stomach feeling bad for a while, go for it! Guest guest
Gretchen . . . The fact that you were able to start back to things you enjoy proves that you CAN feel good! . . . Since it came back on you so fast and so hard, IMHO, it's unlikely you'll ever be able to get off an antifungal diet. . . You've got your work cut out for you . . . but at least you know you're in control and you know what to do now. It's going to be a new way of life for you. Just keep concentrating on how good you're going to feel when you get back on track! Rogene
