Guest guest
I have two pictures of me close to my computer. One was taken in Oct 1, 2000, the other Nov 29, 2001. Do I want to go back to the way I looked in Oct 2000. No thank you - no way. I lost all this weight by eating healthy and I have every intention of continuing the way I have been eating for the past 1 1/2 yrs. I did eat 'forbidden' foods over the holidays and I will do it again. However, it will be in small portions. If I can help any of you in any way, just let me know. That is the reason I'm here. If you get tired of hearing me say, " I love the way I look and feel " , let me know that also. Hi Sussie, I find that drinking hot tea with Splenda helps my cravings. I'll drink 2 or 3 cups per day, sometimes more. As long as I can have something to drink, I don't think about eating. This is how I lost my weight. Also, the sugar-free apple cider mix is good. I eat a lot of the sugar-free jello. None of these items cause an increase in my bg's. and I had breakfast at Golden Corral. I had the usual eggs, bacon, ham, hashbrowns and a biscuit. I then went back and got some fruit, one pancake with strawberry topping (just a tiny bit). I was sure I would have a high reading. Less than 2 hrs later, 98. I did some walking after eating, so I guess that is what kept the numbers down. So far this year, my numbers have been great, but it has only been less than one week. LOL. The highest has been 123 and that was 1 1/2 hrs after eating. Eunice
Guest guest
Thanks Eunice, Im at the point now where I think I may have to give up all sugar for a bit until I loose weight. It makes my blood sugar too high and then I get cravings! Its such a bummer..Keep telling us!! Hugs sus -----Original Message----- From: ERWachter@... I have two pictures of me close to my computer. Guest guest
I am convinced from your story that your good control is from your weight loss and from your choices on a daily basis. I think that when we are overweight our numbers can just go crazy..That thought alone keeps me loosing :-) As usual you have a gift of motivation and making a person smile ..:-) hugs sus -----Original Message----- From: ERWachter@... I love it. A few weeks ago a friend told me that I was getting prissy since I had lost weight. She laughed and told me that was okay, because she was going to be the same way when she lost weight. Just wait until she sees me in Sunday School this coming Sunday. I have a black/white skirt and I bought a black sweater today to wear with it. Shopping is so much fun. I did get the sweater at a discounted price. Never buy anything and pay full price. Eunice

I'm afraid if I was healed of diabetes, it would be too tempting to eat all the 'bad' stuff and gain the weight back. I'm 5 feet and weigh 114-116. Only gained a couple of lbs over the holidays. Guest guest
Hi ERWachter! You know I keep one picture around of myself in the before stage myself. I need a reminder, lol. I only recently am able to see the weight loss in myself. I now understand the dillusions of a person afflicted with Aneorixia. Everytime I looked in the mirror I was not seeing what others around me were even as I turned my pants over twice and put on a belt, lol. Then one day I saw a picture of myself and I hate taking pictures and suddenly I was like Wow look how thin my face was. I took off all my clothes and like magic the visual I saw was my reality and I went and put up the 18's and bought me some 12's, lol lol > I have two pictures of me close to my computer. Guest guest
LOL It's weird I went out and bought me some leather pants, lol. I was called pencil growing up I was so skinny then after my husband was killed I resolved that issue knee deep in food and ballooned up to 195 on my 5'2 frame. I never really really looked like it as in I have good skin etc. and I carried it well but I knew it, lol. Now that I am down to 143-145lbs. It is carried differently than it was say 15 years ago, lol. Cause I've had a child and I got grown woman hips now, lol but I like what I see, lol I intend NEVER to gain the weight back...NEVER! > In a message dated 1/8/02 8:43:16 PM Eastern Standard Time, > pmuhamma@c... writes: > > > > I took off all my clothes and like magic the > > visual I saw was my reality and I went and put up the 18's and bought > > me some 12's, lol lol > > > > > > > > > > Isn't it fun to be " skinny " . I still eat but in smaller portions. I have read somewhere that Green Tea is good for weight loss. Maybe that is what helped me, because I do drink a lot of it.
