Guest guest
Hi Cris, I did not have Taxol but some of the ladies did. Please remember that breast cancer is not the death sentence it was once thought to be. My tumore was 2.5 and I had 1 node involved and just passed my 12th yr in May. I will keep you in my prayers. Hugs marianne Positive Nodes Hi Everyone, I have undergone 4 sessions of A/C followed by surgery. The tumour shrunk from 1.5 cm to 0.4mm and I have 1 positive node. I am so scared. I am 33 yrs old. I think I will be getting another 4 sessions of chemo with a taxol drug. Does anyone know what the taxol type drugs so, and how effective they are. Be Blessed, Cris
Guest guest
Did you perhaps have inflammatory carcinoma? I too am having 4 sessions of A/C then surgery if margins are clear and then taxol. They told me that taxol does not have the same side effects as A/C with the nausea but that there could be hand and feet tingling as in neropathy side effects. please reply, georgia lovensunshine2002 wrote:Hi Everyone, I have undergone 4 sessions of A/C followed by surgery. Guest guest
Hi Cris, My name is and I recently finished 12 sessions of Taxol (I went once a week)..... Taxol has some of the same side effects of AC but also you can have tingling in your hands and feet........From personal experience, Taxol was a little easier to take than AC....... My chemo nurse told me it was possible for my hair to grow back while on Taxol....which it did...I just lost my eyebrows and eyelashes....... If you have any questions, please email me.......jenm573@... Hugs, New Orleans, LA --- lovensunshine2002 wrote: > Hi Everyone, > > I have undergone 4 sessions of A/C followed by > surgery. Guest guest
Georgia, Sorry for taking so long to respond. No I do not have inflammatory bc, and I do not have personal experience with Taxol yet, but I will soon. I recently came across a personal story on http://www.sharedexperience.org/ The lady that posted her experience was 4 years cancer free when she submitted her story. She says that she would love to talk to anyone about her experience. This database includes more than 500 experiences, her entry is number #315. Hope this helps, Cris Hi Everyone, > > I have undergone 4 sessions of A/C followed by surgery. The tumour > shrunk from 1.5 cm to 0.4mm and I have 1 positive node. I am so > scared. I am 33 yrs old.
