Dear all.

I'm back online after a week in Cornwall, England's most south western county. We stayed at Padstow and were able to buy wet fish to cook from Mr Rick Stein's deli. We had Red Mullet, Wild Sea Bass, Lemon Sole, Black Bream as well as Haddock and Plaice. A good way of avoiding red meat!

I too appreciate the encouraging posts. I often think that many of the men who have no continuing problems don't need to join our kinds of groups. Hence we hear very little from them.

Just a few give there good experiences. Thanks to them.

,

You make my heart sing. I'm a lazy bu**er but I feel inclined to check out

your special diet. At present my PSA is rising slowly after brachytherapy in

2001. I would like to do something which meant I didn't have to start Zoladex

or other androgen blah blah at some undefined stage in the future.

Hope all continues to go well for you

HI ! Good to see you back! Great to hear that you have a lot of fish to eat too! I Love fish! Fish and chips are my favorite! I used to eat that all the time when I was in Scotland in my Navy days. I think I had some in Portsmouth too.

I have to admit too that I am one of the lurkers here. I am 3 years and 3 months out of my radical prostatecomy and am doing well. I do post when I get my results of my PSA tests. I have been at 0.02 until this last one in February. It was 0.04. My urologist says that is ok and well within the margin of error. It does bother me though. I have to wait until August to get another test done. But other than that, I feel fine and am still recovering nicely. I wonder if anyone else has had this kind of rise and what happened.

Take care and have a great weekend!

Tom

First I have to say that I was in your position within months after my surgery.

That was in 1996! I'm still batting, though it looks like my PSA is on the rise again so I will probably try adding Casodex to the Zoledex. I have been on Casodex and Zoleddex monotherapies.

Your doctor is right just as one swaalow doesn't make a summer. A 0.02 difference doesn't require immediate action. Being an analytical chemist in my early years at work and now dealing with monitoring the thickness and volume of sewage sludge (not very consistent material), I know about analytical error.

I hope that the analyst was having a bad day and you are back to 0.02 next time.

PS The battered Lemon Sole was beautiful, but normally we stayed healthy and grilled the fish (brushed with Olive oil) and had boiled potatoes and vegatables.

Thanks ! You would think that after surgery you'd be done with it! I hope yours stays under control now and goes away entirely. I agree too that a 0.02 rise is not that bad, but after 3 years of 0.02, I kind of got used to that reading. I hope it goes down again too! That Sole dinner sounds great! Take care,,,,,, Tom
