" Thanksgiving is not about food, but being thankful for what we have. Regardless of the situation, we all have something to be thankful for. If you eat some 'forbidden' food, don't dwell on the fact that your bg's will go up. For this one day, don't even think about diabetes. Enjoy being with family/friends. Enjoy Thanksgiving. If someone tries to get you to eat more food than you want, just tell them you have had enough, then walk away. If you do over indulge, go for a walk. It doesn't have to be a long walk, even 10 minutes will help. If you are watching the games on tv, jump up and down everytime your team scores (or whatever they do. You can tell I'm not into football.) And last, find something to laugh about. Laughter is a wonderful medicine and it doesn't cost a cent. God Bless You.
