Hey ,

Welcome to the group, hon! From what I have found on ectopic pregnancies,

other types of ectopics (other than tubal) are more likely " flukes " than

tubals. In that case the egg escapes the fallopian tube and the sperm finds

it! It is horrible in any case, but ectopics outside of the tube amaze me.

How can the sperm find the egg? What I mean is that it is so hard for some

people to get pregnant normally...

Has your doctor mentioned that there might be any sort of defect to the

fimbria of the fallopian tube (for those who don't know, the little fingers

that pick up the egg)? Not that you have any damage to your fimbria, it's

just a thought.

I am so glad that you didn't have to have any surgery...:)

Take care,

Krista

welcome

I am sorry to hear about your loss. As much as I think that this group is

great, don't you all find it sad when someone new joins?

I just want to say that it is a pity we could'nt meet under more cheerfull

circumstances.

How are you doing now emotionally? Most of us seem to find the emotional

side together with the reminder of seeing our scars harder to cope with than

the actual physical pain.

Are you going to t.t.c. again soon or waiting in fear like the most of us?

Was this your first pregnancy?

Excuse all the questions, but I am interested.

again nice to have you with us(I like to call us the pity party) Just joking

Regards

sonja Kershaw

Sonja,

Did someone already answer this: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. I am going to

prepare a mini-report on it, and I will get it out to the list this afternoon!

Take care,

Krista

Poly,

Sorry for any confusion. I took 1.25 2x daily. Also, following the second

surgery, (the removal of reformed scar tissue) he added an Estring (a plastic

ring that gives off a small dose of estrogen continuously) in addition to the

premarin. The ring was placed inside the vagina. Sounds strange but one

thing I learned is that the treatment for Asherman's is strange!

I left this doctor and after all this did not work. I guess everyone is

entitled to make their choice in doctors but I made the right decision when

I left my former RE and found Dr. Berger. I am not one to stay with a doctor

who made mistakes just because he knows my history. All it takes is a

written history to bring another doctor up to date on your individual case.

This is what I did with Dr. Berger.

hi ladies

First let me say how happy i am to have found this group and a BIG

THANK YOU to Poly for starting it!

My Story

i got PG 10 years ago by accident,(i was 19 years old) and decided to

have an abortion. i was referred to a local hosptial by the college

i was attending and that's where my nightmare began.

2 weeks after the procedure i started hemorraging, i was rushed to the

hospital where they preformed a d & c, during the operation i was

bleeding so bad that they had to cut me open like a c-section to stop

the blood. It took me 1 week in hospital and 2 more weeks at home to

recover. i was so upset, i felt like i had made the biggest mistake

of my young life and had a very hard time dealing with it.

Like all of you, after the d & c i had no periods, after many Dr.

visits

i was told i had scarring in my uterus, but never heard the term

Asherman's syndrome. I had a lap/hystro done and started getting

periods but very light, the Dr.'s told me not to worry i would be

able

to concieve, so i got on with my life...fastforward to 1999. i'm now

married and my husband and i wanted to start a family right

away...after 6months of trying i went to my Dr and told her the whole

story, she sent me to a RE, he diagnosed me with Asherman's in Sept.

of 1999 since than i have had one lap and two more hystro's, the

scarring keeps coming back!!!

my RE has now referred me to another RE who he says is the BEST and

has helped another one of his patients concieve after having a severe

case of ashermans'. my app. is Sept 18th.

there is not a day that goes by that i don't wonder how different my

life would be if i'd had the courage to keep my baby.

Hazel: Welcome to the group. I am so sorry to hear of your difficulties and

am hopeful that

surgery will help you (just as I'm hopeful it will help me if I EVER get a

surgery date!!)

Take care.
