Thanks Dede. One of the biggest accomplishments of my life (to date).

It was so rough at the end because this is when my auto-immune issues

all started. Didn't think I would make it but I did it! God helped.

Hopefully I will get my health back soon and actually be able to

utilize the degree. I really want to get a job in Learning and

Development with my company. I love teaching and sharing knowledge.

Right now I am too sick to get motivated to apply myself, but soon soon

soon - I'll be back.

Congratulations!!! Vodka and tonic is the safest drink to drink. Cranberry

juice has a lot of sugar in it. When I drink, which is usually not even

once a year, I have a vodka and tonic with lime. I believe I read this in

The Yeast Connection book.

Have fun!

Sounds like a plan. Prior to getting sick I did like Gray Goose

Vodka, so maybe I can try that with tonic. Again, not too many but

something for a toast :)

I will probably be looped off of one given the long length of time

since I last drank.

Thanks Kenda.

Lynn, Vodka and soda water or sparkling water isn't sugery. You could also make a white wine spritzer with sparkling water. Congratulations!! I hope you have a wonderful time at the party! I have just gone back to school myself, started last Thurs. Taking an editting/publishing program. It has been many years since I have been in school. Lynn, I only drink wine on rare occasions, but what I buy is my favorite German white wine (auslese) and add red grape juice, half and half. The red grape juice adds the resveratrol that is supposed to be so good for you, and just weakens the wine enough to the point of being mild, smooth and totally wonderful. You could sip a glass of half wine, half grape juice and enjoy yourself completely while still not be doing something terrible to your body. You could also do this with red wine, of course, if that is what you prefer. But this is my way of indulging when I feel like I want to. I get to have my cake and eat it too, and I love it. I haven't got a clue about the drinks but I'm sure the

other ladies will be able to advise you accordingly.

I'm truly estatic for you. Well done!

Lynn,

Congrats on your graduation! That is an achievement! I was a college student for many years-- earned two Bachelor degrees, then went back for a Master of Fine Arts at age (drumroll please) 40! I don't know about you, but as an older student I really appreciated college. When I was a young college student, I was wild and crazy.

Patty's 1/2 and 1/2 wine idea sounds great. That way you can indulge without worrying you're drinking too much. I am going to try it with a red wine-- I rarely drink since being ill, alcohol just makes me feel odd. But half a glass is not too bad. I don't think a little alcohol will make you crash, especially if you eat and drink enough before, during and after.

ENJOY YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENT!

I can say that being an older student made me appreciate it much more.

I am going to have to write down all the food advice, thanks!

Everything sounds so yummy, hope I can find the food. I live in a

very small town and most of this food is foreign to me :)

I bought my rice cooker and when I got it home I looked in the box

for instructions and there were none. I noticed that it looks like

it has been used!! How gross, guess I'll be taking it back tomorrow.

Congrats to you on going back to school!! Good for you... I had been

going off and on for several years part-time, I began 2 1/2 years ago

full-time (even during the summers) and finally finished in March.

It feels great. I wish my health were better and then it would be

that much sweeter but I will get there. How long will you have to go

to school?

You all are so wonderful. I am writing down all of these things. I

do love wine, red or white.

I was sad because I didn't think I'd be able to have a drink to

celebrate, now I have all sorts of ideas. How exciting :)

Ah, how sweet you are Traci! Thank you so much.

I just love all my new friends - my saline/silicone sisters. One

good thing that came out of my illness has been meeting and getting

to know each one of you wonderful women. I really wish we could have

some sort of retreat spa weekend, it would be great to meet in

person.

Perhaps someday.

Thank you and good for you. Wow, two Bachelor degrees and a

Masters! Very impressive. I think I am finished with my BS, too

sick and broke to continue. Plus, I want to focus on learning to

cook healthy and get my health turned around. Maybe have a baby or

two?? :)

I agree, it would be alot of fun to get a group to meet again someday--unfortunately, none of the girls that met several years ago in Idaho are still writing on this group! But we had a great time together. We can plan something again! Pattyspinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Ah, how sweet you are Traci! Thank you so much. Lynn, I hope you are feeling better today:) That is gross about the rice cooker too! How bizarre! I am just trying to get my feet wet with school right now.... I am starting with one class and then take more if I can handle it, so I am just part time. Not sure how long it will take for me to complete the certificate, it'll depend on how many classes I can take on. After I move next week, I want to start looking for another job.. I was really sick last year and so went back to bartending. I am only working 15 hours a week now, but I need to get something more secure. I was going to wait until after my explant to begin working fulltime again, but it seems like its going to take longer than I originally anticipated to get my surgery done. If I come to Denver to see Dr. Huang, I would love to meet up with you:) Tonight I

am going to meet with my mom to discuss financial options. I am trying to get a loan, but because of my student loans and low income, I need a little help! I know that something will work out though! Today was the big reveal, bandages off!!! can't wait to hear how it went! Thank you for posting all of the photos. Your bruises look sore, but you look great! I think you're going to be very happy with the results. Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: I am going to have to write down all the food advice, thanks! Everything sounds so yummy, hope I can find the food. I live in a very small town and most of this food is foreign to me :) I bought my rice cooker and when I got it home I looked in the box for instructions and there were none. I noticed that it looks like it has been used!! How gross, guess I'll be taking it back tomorrow.Congrats to you on going back to school!! Good for you... I had been going off and on for several years part-time, I began 2 1/2 years ago full-time (even during the summers) and finally finished in March. It feels great. I wish my health were better and then it would be that much sweeter but I will get there. How long will you have to go to school? Thanks Katy!! I am really super sore, but it is worth it.

Hey, starting one class at a time is where I started. I wish you all

the luck!! It took me 14 years to finish mine!! I started back in

93!

Where are you moving? I hope it is a good move.

I know what you mean about finances. I have HUGE student loans (over

30k), mortgage and other bills. We ended up using those credit card

offers that are same as cash for a year and then jump up to 14%. We

hope to pay them off in the year, if not - guess we will pay

interest. I guess we have to do what works :) That was our only

option.

I didn't get the bandages off :( She wants to keep them on for

support and wants me to go and get some push-up bras to help shape

the fat transfers a little better. I also need to feed them FAT!!

This new diet just isn't helping keep the fat transfers fat :)

Lynn, Sorry that you weren't able to get the bandages of today:( They must feel uncomfortable. I think its interesting that you can shape your fat transfers while they heal. I'm sure that also the internal scar tissue from the explant does some shaping... Do you have much swelling?? Try and add some high calorie snacks in to your day. I know that when I cut out the refined carbs and sugars, I trim down quickly. Avocados, organic nuts, brown rice, black beans and chick peas, flax and coconut oils should help. Must feel strange to feed the fat instead of trying to get rid of it!! At this point, I am looking everywhere for money for travelling and surgery. I have about 1/2 saved, and think the loan may work... Tomorrow I go for my 2nd consult w Dr Brown here in Toronto (Traci's surgeon).. He originally advised me to keep the implants, but when I

said that I planned to get them out he asked to see me again. Although, I am so anxious to get them out of my body, I don't know if I could handle the long wait. I am willing to get into debt to free myself sooner!! My boyfriend and I aren't moving far, just a few miles, into our own place. We have had roomates in the house we are leaving. Katy,

Oh, it will be nice to have place of your own I am sure.

The bandages aren't too bad, they are just cloth tape. But I was

sort of excited & nervous for the reveal. I don't have much swelling

at all but took a lot of arnica montana and bromalin homeopathic

medications prior to surgery, Dr. Huang's protocol. Really seemed to

help. I never did get too black and blue, just yellowish brusing.

Even though it wasn't the ugly dark bruising, it still hurt.

Swelling though was limited.

Just got back from bra shopping. Not as fun as I thought it would

be. I thought for sure I would be a small B, I was a 34 B prior to

implant - 34 C with implants. Well I am a 34 A :( I went in the

dressing room with all sorts of B's and put one on and all I could

see was fabric with no boob. Sort of depressing. But I would rather

be healthy and I hear they fluff. Until then, I will wear my size A

bras (WITH PADDING) proud.

Well I love avacados, so this is a good thing.

Lynn, I am now a believer that it is not the size that counts! I am sure things will continue to change as you heal and the bandages come off...and the Fluffing! I read that 70% of women don't wear the right size of bra. I have a horrible time finding one that fits with implants... I actually don't know if I have ever worn the correct size bra in my life!! After explant and healing I want to get measured properly. Glad your swelling and bruising wasn't too bad! When I got my implants I was soooo bruised for ages! Katy,

I hear ya! When I got my implants they went through my belly

button. My stomach was every single color in the rainbow for

weeks!! Was was scary looking!! Not this time. I really believe

the Bromalin and Arnica Montana worked. If you don't end up using

Dr. Huang, I would suggest starting these two remedies two weeks

prior to explant and even after. I am not nearly as swollen or

bruised as I would have expected given what I have seen when they do

lipo on TV!! They really jam that instrument into the skin but my

incisions were teeny tiny! Maybe it was all Dr. Huang's magical

hands :)

Lynn, Well, I went for a 2nd consult yesterday with Dr. Brown, but although he has agreed to most of the requests for my explant, he will not agree to remove my capsules because I have saline and there is no info supporting their removal for him. I feel strongly that I need to remove the capsules. I don't want to be worrying about them for years to come, nor do I want to have a second surgery. He doesn't think my implants have anything to do with my poor health. Now I have the choice to either continue to search for a surgeon here or just go to the experts and get it taken care of. I still am waiting on one more surgeon in Toronto that was reccommended to my by Dr. Blais. Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Katy,I hear ya!
