- I'm glad to hear the doctor says all went well. We'll keep our fingers crossed for an " all clear " HSG next month! As for new scarring - what kind of barrier did he put in? An IUD? A balloon? INTERCEED? With a barrier and the hormone treatment you should have a very good chance of not forming additional scar tissue. Think positive and take care of yourself....I hope you are feeling better soon!

Good Morning Everyone, well my RE said surgey went well, I feel like crap, I didn't sleep at all last night, I have the WORST cramps I've ever had in my life, he sent me home with pain meds but my stomach is really icky from the anesthesia so I can't take any yet, I actually wish they would have kept me overnight, we didn't get home till 10:30 but I guess insurance companies don't want to pay for more than they have too. I have to take antibiotics for a week and he put me on premarin for a month and I have to take cycrin for the last ten days that I take the premarin, then when I get a period they will do another HSG to see how things look, hope they look improved. He said that he cut a lot of scar tissue out, my question is, doesn't that just cause more scarring? I hope this is it, I can't see me having more surgery, I have had 5 surgeries now in the last 6 years and I hate surgery, I feel so sick after, I am going to try and go rest now, talk to you all later....

I looked up the name of the drug that eliminates nausea caused by general

anesthesia following surgery. It is called Zofran. It is given prior to

surgery when you are being prepped.

Remember this name: ZOFRAN! Ask for it!

Hi everybody

Read all the emails as soon as I got my hands on a computer. I'm glad that your surgery was good and I understand your not feeling together for today is my third day after my surgery and I still feel under. Actually I feel awful and a little bit depressed. I did not want to get up from my bed this morning. Maybe it is the after effect of anesthesia.

My surgery was ok I have the video and the dr said that he got rid of the scars and that now I have a good size cavity, he also said that I had some scars outside the uterus from the c section which he took care of. I still feel the stitches from the lap when I move. He said that he will remove them next Monday.

He inserted a balloon but my body expelled it after 24 hrs so I panicked and called the clinic. His assistance had me go back and inserted an IUD. I started imagining that my whole cavity collapsed and that this is why I expelled the balloon. The assistant who put the IUD said that every thing looks fine. I really wish that everything is fine and that the balloon was expelled from contraction in the uterus as she explained to me but my hopes are not high.

I am now on 4 mg of estradiol pills (progenova) and 8 mg of estradiol patches which I stuck on my belly in hope that it reaches the uterus better. ( wishful thinking) . I wanted to have estradiol suppositories but they refused because they fear infection in this stage. Oh and I am on antibiotics for two weeks.

I will remove the stitches next Monday and then go the Monday after to check the lining and then after I get a period ( hopefully) they will do HSG.

I still did not go back to work so I don't have access to a computer except when my sister visits with her laptop. this is how I communicating.

Thank you all for listening

Leila,

Glad to hear that your surgery went ok. I have changed your profile to read good size cavity and nbr of hysteroscopies should now read 3 operative hysteroscopies and 2 laparoscopies correct? I also added IUD used twice as you expelled the balloon, no point adding it. Strange that you expelled the balloon.

That sounds like a really mega doze of estrogen you are on if you add the 4mg of estradiol and 8mg of estradiol together it is 12mg altogether. How will you check the lining on Monday? By normal ultrasound scan?

The instrument your doctor used on this hysteroscopy sounded just like the first one my doctor did to me. I haven't yet seen the video of the 2nd and so don't know what he used.
