What is it with Nada's Obsession with Dying?

I was just looking over the last week or so of posts and saw another

reoccuring theme --

Does anyone else have nadas that are convinced they are dying/will be

dead within the next " few years " /are " too old " to work or care for

themselves when in fact their health may be more or less stable and

they are very young?

My nada is only 54. She is a breast cancer survivor (almost 3 years

cancer free) which undoubtedly took its toll. However, nada is

convinced the cancer WILL come back (which is always a possibility

although now enhanced because she was so convinced it would come back

she stopped taking her post-chemo drugs that help prevent reoccurance)

and that she WILL be dead soon and has VERY FEW good years left.

Any other nadas like that out there?
