Thanks for posting this Andi. I walked into my living room while

there talking about this drug on the news. I didn't hear the whole

thing and new I could count on someone from this group to post

something about it.

I think this is great news and hope this drug really does work. I am

very interested in this medicine. It might someday help Tony and

me. He has Crohn's and I was dxed with MS 5 years ago. All my

symptoms have gone away. I went for two opinions one Dr says yes I

do have it and need to take injections and the other Dr said no. He

thought I had something else though. I have been very fortunate and

have not had anymore problems. I get bad headaches and had another

MRI last year on the brain and still have a lesion on my brain. They

said it did get smaller from 5 years ago. So either it is something

else or MS has been in remission for a long time. I am mad at myself

for not asking that Dr what he thought I had. Maybe I am better off

not knowing. The most important part is that I have been OK and I am

not injecting myself with any medicine.

I am sure this is something you look forward to seeing getting

approved by the FDA. Always remember Andi there is always hope.

Don't ever give up!

,

There are a lot of new meds out there. Just wish they would get them

out sooner.

Are you able to get a second opinion concerning your MS. Where do you

live?. Maybe I can look around and see if there are any good

neurologists in your area.

Andi,

You are so sweet. Thanks for the offer. I will keep you in mind if

I ever have anymore problems. It has been 4 years since I have

suffered any symptoms from that MS deal. My Dr seems to think it was

all related to stress. The only problem I was left with was my right

arm and hand are weaker. I had the problems on my right side. I

walked with a gate in my right leg. I had slurred speach. I was

falling down for no reason. My right side would give out. I

remember we went to Arizona to visit Tony's sister and we were

driving to Sandiago, CA and I was in the car and kept having this

feeling come over me. I felt like I was having little strokes or

something. It was this awful feeling all over my body. I am glad

that is gone and hope it stays away. I can still do everything with

my right hand but braid my daughters hair. At this point I am lucky

if I can get them to comb their hair never mind them letting me put

braid in their hair.

My Dr said that the lesion that still remains on my brain is nothing

to worry about (yeah, ok. I try not to worry about it). So at this

point I am just gonna wait and see what happens. I don't know what

causes lesions on the brain or if it is normal to have one and it not

mean anything. Someone said that something fluky could of happend

when I recieved an epidural during the delivery of my first daughter.

Other than that I do not know why it is there.

I do know a few people with MS and crohn's and see how they all

suffer from those diseases and hope these meds will work for them.

Thanks again Andi
