Judy, You are worrying me BIG time! As if the potassium and PF were not enough, the weight loss. That drastic weightloss is not good. That alone could be throwing all kinds of things out of wack, let alone making you incredibly weak. You need to eat better and not drive yourself into the ground. It'll do no good to have everything in order and you too sick to get your evaluations or too sick to move. I know I'm the pot calling the kettle black, but really! Some how, some way you need more help or to push back a time frame or say to heck w/ it and let your move be unorganized or even broken or make something somebody elses problem. Calgon, take Judy away! Kerry IPF '01 S. INcbayjpw wrote: Hi All, Blood tests last Wed. potassium down to 2.8 Doc's office called to tell me it was low, didn't say how much but ordered an RX and said I have to have another blood test in a week. At 2 a.m. that night I awoke having trouble breathing and something was wrong with my right hand. Could not use it. Feared a ministroke, but on line with left finger and didn't think it was stroke & checked on low potassiium. Figured it was the problem, drank some orange juice and went back to bed. Got a doctor appointment with doc's P.A. next morning. She listened to my heart said it was o.k. and I then picked

up my RX for the Potassium after getting copy of my blood test. I learned later on the www that potassium levels below 2.8 can be fatal. But God is watching over me again and here I am. I've had some very stressful times with purchasing a new home in another state, USPS not deliverying First Class mail until 12 days later, many many phone calls, getting ready for my trip to Indy tomorrow as my Transplant Evaluation begins Tues. morning. Not looking forward to the heart cath on Tues. since I had this potassium problem (probably caused by all my meds). My tests are supposed to be done at noon on Thur. so hope to post a note to let you all know I am still o.k. Youngest son (age 37) and his family total of 6 were here for 8 hours on Sat. helping me with my move prep. When I handed them my honey do list when they got here they looked shocked, but they got everything done and step grand daughter cooked dinner for us. Oldest

son has walkthru Tues. & we are still supposed to close on 1 May which means I'll be going to OH on the 30th, back here on the 2nd, then to Indy on 3rd to see tansplant surgeon. Moving company still scheduled to pack my household on 14 May with move 16 May. Moving is lots of stress when you are healthy, but when you are sick it is really an experience. My SATs drop so quickly just moving room to room and heart rate goes up rapidly. So I sit and rest. Oximeter gives me the numbers, but it has happened so much I know when I have to sit. Haven't been getting enough sleep or eating enough (just cannot eat sometimes because of breathing) and have lost over 10 lb. now in last 3 weeks. It's great to lose weight when you are overweight, but I now have to wear a belt with my jeans. Get the picture.Love and Aloha,Judy IPF 11/06 IL
