Guest guest
Hi Bee's diet is ketogenic, but don't have in the diet the cream, and processed fatty acids. Joanne can tell you more about that. I have not had any cholesterol tests in years, so cannot comment on my levels. Our bodies can make cholesterol when we need it to correct inflammation, and goes down when not needed, and triglyceride levels are the ones to be more concerned about, and my research, and some books I read, says sugar raises those. Now if a person smokes, or in a toxic environment, they should worry about heart disease. I have hear the book " cholesterol Myth " is good to read. Some people stay on the diet only a few years, because they seem to be " cured " of epilepsy or migraines. The diet cures only about a 1/3, and about a third get better. Bee does ask some about their thyroid medication, how long on it, etc to advise them about possibly going off it. Coconut oil can be very potent. It has many benefits. A friend of my cousin took just a 1/4 teaspoon and it really cleaned her out. Bee has been a " candida " so called expert since the 1980s. She does keep refining/changing things to a certain extent. I know I cannot go back to eating like everyone else, because now I get more detox reactions than I ever did before. My body is much more efficient at getting rid of what I take in that is not good for us. Best, C. > > , though I decided to go with this diet, I did much research way back, and educated myself as to pros and cons, no name calling of people with differing opinions, just getting to the facts. This particual study with children always stood out in my mind. And here's a second link, and when I was deciding whether or not to do this diet, it was often referred to as a quick fix. Now I am on the fence as I need to see longterm effects, which there are many studies, pro and con, but it's incontrovertable that most Atkins, Ketogenic studies show elevated cholesterol, etc. > > Do we do something differnt on this board? I beleive very few are daft on this board. > > Love, > > Jean
Guest guest
Hi , I have had a good feeling about CO since I got on this board and what you said about cholesterol makes sense and also just being hypothyroid can make it go up. The trycglycerides I must look into, but I know they are not the thing to have in wrong balance or at wrong levels. I think my mistake with the CO I made was that I also took my thyroid med and they do the same thing. Yes, I'm sure there are many myths, like the great food we ate growing up with from the late 50's that has helped make many of us sick. When you said some people stay on the diet only a few yrs is that Bees or ketogenic? I thought maybe I could do that, but I was thinking a lot about it today and if there was some illness I had that was controlled and cured by it, then I might stay on it. I must learn about Bees when I feel up to it. Right now with this x-mas Boutique I have eaten carbs and I can't believe it. I love working decorating the tree, setting up all the merchandise we buy from vendors but it's stressful and then they put out carb treats or food. What's strange, is I hardly crave carbs at all, but since cheating at this boutique which is on for 2 more wkends at least, I am now craving carbs since cheating. I don't know what's going on. I'm trying to do nuts when I want carbs. Okay thank you and I will look for the book. Quite tired from all the set up for this and even layed down when my friend was over. She is a close friend and I knew she would not be offended as she has hashi's and her energy just cuts out too. She is another on Corvalen M. Okay my dear, thanks for all. Love, Jean > > > > , though I decided to go with this diet, I did much research way back, and educated myself as to pros and cons, no name calling of people with differing opinions, just getting to the facts. Guest guest
Hi In bees group some are cured of candida after a month for a year after being sick, but that means your diet can be not quite as strict, but still cannot have sugar or processed food, and not a lot of fruit. I have many more years left to be strict. The diet for a few years was for people on it for epilepsy or migraines when they would no longer have it. If I have anything high carb, it makes the cravings come back. I can resist the cravings for the most part, but still wise to avoid them in the first place.
