Guest guest
Hi All! I just wanted to let everyone know that there are now 1227 signatures as of this evening (morning?) on the online petition for a federally recognized RSD Awareness month (HConRes 61 and SConRes 24....link to the petition is below). Many leading RSD organizations across the US have come out in support of the Resolutions asking that our Government take notice of RSD/CRPS and proclaim a month for awareness and education, and essentially mandate research and proper treatments for RSD/CRPS sufferers. This, added to the over 4000 signatures I received via postal mail, shows a positive sign in the right direction. I ask that each of you take a look at the signatures. If you do not see a particular RSD/CRPS organizational leader stepping up to the challenge, question them as to why they aren't supporting it and ask them to consider the estimated 7 million folks that are suffering daily with RSD/CRPS, then urge them, in the spirit of true community and Unity, to sign the petition. If they still don't, determine for yourself what the community evidently means to them, and hold them accountable for their inaction and "nonsupport" of these community wide resolutions and community wide efforts. These resolutions are not about ASRSD or me, they are about ALL OF US, our living and our dead, our caregivers, our loved ones and future generations that might suffer needlessly because of consistant inaction over the years. Look at it this way....RSD has been around about 150 years (first recognized as Causalgia by S. Weir )...and where are we now? These Resolutions WILL help. Please take time to support HConRes 61 and SConRes 24 in the current Congress. Passage of these resolutions could help someone you know. Please, visit and sign the petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/RSDCRPS/petition.html today!! The RSD community thanks you for your support. Sincerely, Tom (TMExecDir@...)
