We need to avoid taking too much vitamin A, plus we need our omegas to be balanced. I usually recommend folk give up all their supplements when they are using codliver Oil and just take the ones Bee recommends, but you will need to think about what is best for you to do Anyway, I know Atkins recommends Codliver oil, so you might want to examine his protocol on it too. This article here explains some of Bees views on Codliver oil. As you can see the amount you need to take depends on which brand you use and you can make up the difference in A and D using Halibut oil like i do http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php Do not worry about reading all this right now. These articles are better understood when they are read in short spats If I find any more info relating to codliver oil and colitis I will let you know. The folk on the the other sites I visit all think codliver oil is one of the best supplements fro Crohns Colitis, IBS and Fibro Love Joanne
Guest guest
Hi, What brand of cod liver oil do you take? I take the carlson light lemon taste. I did not like the other brand mint flavor. C > > I'm surprised every time I hear about kids liking their cod liver oil. I gag > every day when I take it, lol. It is nasty. But because Bee says we need > it to balance out our nutrients and to help us heal, I slug it down daily. > Blah.
Guest guest
RoseMarie - I bought the gel caps before (actually in hopes my family would use them) but I use the oil as it is more cost effective and I'm an adult and I do it cuz it's the right thing to do, lol. Re: -Codliver oil Hey did you know you can get cod liver oil that has lemon in it and taste ok? Also you can get cod liver oil gel caps that have 1000 mg per gel cap in it. Guest guest
Hi, I checked tonight, and the Carlson is still on Bee's list. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php I just have to take 2 vit A instead of one, and get a tbs of the oil all together. I tried the Garden of Life mint, and took that one bottle, but did not try it again. Bee says it is cheaper, but did not see where she said it was better. I have been on Bee's diet about 2 years. Guest guest
Yeah, that¹s the right attitude. But honestly when I eat that stuff, except for the lemon flavored, that¹s ok, I feel nauseous for a long time and I dread it so much I actually can¹t force it down after a while. So, I do what I can manage. I still don¹t know what I¹m going to be and do when I grown up. It talks about the healing process we will go thru when we start giving our body the good nutrients it needs. I explained it to my kids using the metaphor of ripping off a bandaid... You can do it slowly, which will hurt milli-second by milli-second or you can just yank it off. Either way, you're going to experience some discomfort of the bandaid being removed. Same thing with the healing. At some point, you're going to have to walk thru that 'wall' of healing (symptoms)... Well, or not, I guess. But I think you want to get better which is why you're making the choices you are... So perhaps 'tummy' issues are healing and not 'bad'; just make sure, as Joanne has said, to get what Bee recommends...
