" Normal " to a doctor who does not understand thyroid disease means

absolutely nothing in this world here. What were your lab values, and what

tests were run? Never let a doc tell you just " normal " . TSH is not the

appropriate test for thyroid, not alone. This is probably what has been

going on. Haven't they treated you at all? You are in danger of choking to

death, to say the least. Hasn't this impacted these dumb doctors at ALL?

Maybe a law suit would impact them!

Hi ,

At the moment I am just seeing my GP. It's taken months to convince

them that this is not stress. I live in the UK and we don't do law

suits here. Well not that often. We have this wonderful National

Health Service which is not working. I do realise how serious all of

this is and so I am trying to find out as much as possible so that I

can make sure I get to see a specialist. I had my scan last week and

was told the results would take ten days! So that means I have until

Friday to really clue myself up.

The thing that is giving me the most problems at the moment is the

feeling that my brain is shaking from time to time and feeling very

dizzy. It can last a few seconds or a few hours. This is a new

symptom and I dont like it at all - especially after reading more

about Hashimotos - so there is no way I am letting this drop.

thanks

Carole

Carole,

To me, all your symptoms sound like low thyroid, not hyper - the anxiety

is caused by adrenal problems, which are common with hypothyroidism.

The problem is that normal depends on the doctors opinion. Can you get

copies of your test results? I'd also see another doctor.
