Yes I believe lysis is just another word for cutting away. I had the Foley catheter put in me in my surgery. Should be interesting for you to ask the doctor what the difference is. Let me know.

: Believe me...I know just how you feel. I have been waiting for 6 WEEKS for a surgery schedule, first their xray equipment broke and they were waiting for a part. Then, the IUD they need for insertion after surgery was " on order " ....THEN they discovered that the IUD had actually never been ordered as the order was allegedly LOST somewhere between my RE's office and their supplier....THEN they finally call me last Friday to tell me the IUD has FINALLY arrived and.....yes, you guessed it....the surgical assistant they need for the procedure is on vacation and won't be back until tomorrow (the 6th) so they can't schedule me until then.....AND they warned me that my RE will be out of the country from the 14-17 so it will probably be AT LEAST another 2 weeks before they can get me in!! UGH!!! Don't they realize how important this is!? Can't they understand that every day that passes I get older and my chances of healthy pregnancy decrease even if just a little!?

It's enough to make you crazy isn't it? Hang in there.....

Gwen

surgery

Well my RE's office just called, I was supposed to have surgery at 1:30, now they want to do it at 4:30, what a crock of crap! I can't believe it, I think I may have to reschedule the whole thing now, we only have a babysitter until 7:00 so now we won't get back by then for sure, I can't believe that they call just hours before surgery and do this, she said that they accidently double booked surgeries at the same time, how stupid is that? Doctors make me so mad I could scream, we all wouldn't be in this situation in the first place if a doctor hadn't messed us up.

and Gwen,

You are both right and I agree with you as I have been waiting and waiting for a follow up appointment with my doctor in the UK and it's been 2 weeks and no answer. I emailed on the 24th August and when I asked for a reply beginning of this week he wrote back saying he never received my email!!! I wonder if he is telling the truth. I know that emails never received usually come back to you don't they?. Anyway, as you both say lets have patience. I am also going crazy waiting for a period this week, if I get one that is!!. I feel the bloated feeling and my ovaries hurt too. All this waiting and getting no answer is not doing me any good either, I am getting quite depressed.

Haze,

I sent the email to Dr Magos again and hoped that he would reply today but unfortunately not. I may phone tomorrow to see if he will reply. I hate having to chase them up all the time. They make us feel like we are a nuisance but what would they do if they were in our position???

Poly: I know what you mean about feeling depressed....it's so hard to feel like you have no control over your own destiny isn't it? Like your future (and the future of your family) is completely in the hands of others who don't seem to care nearly enough or to truly understand how stressful and upsetting this all is for us. Hang in there. I hope we both hear from our doctors soon!

Hi Cheryl,

I'm not having a hysterectomy, I am having a hysteroscopy and D & C. A

hysteroscopy is just to look around at everything. They can do it vaginally or

make a little incision near the belly button.

PS The two words are so much alike I had to make sure first time I heard it that

I heard it right. LOL

Hi Jill,

I knew he would do something as he told me after the endometrial biopsy if the

spotting continued he would do a D & C or a hysteroscopy. But he decided to do

both. I an not really worried just want to get it over and done with.

Hi nne.

Now that I know that a hysteroscopy is so very different from a

hysterectomy, I'm not so worried. I mean, I'm a Jill and Jills worry, but

I'm not *that* worried. Good vibes anyhow for quick and painless procedures.

You've come to the right place Sherry, and there are many here who know

exactly what you've been going through. I have not had the surgery, but

have problems with the swelling, yet it doesn't poke out the front of the

neck, rather upward and outward. Mine has begun to go down, but I never

know when it's going to start bothering me again. I think that mine has

been more inflammation than anything. Others will share with you what

they've experienced with the surgery.
