Hi !

I didn't miss your previous post on this and did keep it. Haven't answered though, because I have been puzzling on it. Looks to me like your Free T4 is still way too low, but it also looks like a lot of the rest of it is bound up as unused, by looking at that Total. Good thing you're on Armour because, if you weren't, I have an idea that not much T3 would be available from a T4 synthetic med. The T3 from Armour is your personal lifesaver here. BTW, has the doctor upped your dose in the last couple of months on account of these readings, or has she/he left it where it's at? I know that it may have come up somewhat in the following 4 wks or so after that date, but it's still a long way from a .8 to around a 1.2 to a 1.8. Are you getting ready to retest again here pretty quickly? You need to retest to see how much more you need because I'm thinking that you're going to need more. Get ready, because I think that your T3 will be over the top of the range, when the T4 gets where it should be. Probably, the more important question is, do you feel "good", or are you now at the "better" point yet. This is the case with me. I'm getting retested in August, and I get the feeling mine will be changing also.

Anyway, it does look like your red cell blood counts are still down on the volume of the cells (MCV), and your hemoglobin was still down also, as well as some of the other red blood counts, but really, they are not THAT far down, I would guess, compared to what they were before the Armour? What kind of supplements have you been taking, ? Didn't you say you were taking iron also? Instead of ordering vitamins, I just went down to my local Walgreens and picked up the standard multivitamin and mineral combo that Natrol sells, NOT the one that is supposedly the "Women's" version, because that one does have soy and some other stuff in it that we shouldn't have. Oh yes, it also appears that you are violently allergic to something that just won't go away, like pollens or molds, and maybe asthmatic or have a lot of nasal allergies? I remember you talking about the skin. Waco area is going to have plenty of both! It looks like it because of your eosinophylls (Sp?). That is the "Eos" part of your white blood differentials. Your immune system has taken a very long beating over the yrs, but if we could get tests, I bet we'd find out that we need adrenal support also. Are you supposed to go back to this doctor soon?

I just posted to on the tests, and the thyroid hormone increase would be obvious to me, except I don't know how much because when these were done, it had only been 4 wks into treatment. When mine looked very much like this (except my Free T3 was lower than hers at that point, when the T4 looked like hers), that's when I incresed to about 75 mgs of Armour. However, I had been on the one grain for I think around 8 wks or so, at that point, so I was very sure of that particular increase. She needs another level run at this point, to see what she needs to do here, unless she's feeling absolutely wonderful. I know----she probably feels wonderful compared to what she did when she went in on emergency, but I would bet the T3 HAD gone higher a few wks after this particular testing. I'm thinking IRON here though, more than anything because the corpuscular volume of her red cells are still a little small, though not much, and hemoglobin is still less than desired. She looks to be very allergic by that Eos reading, so we're talking adrenal stress. I don't have any understanding of what's under the caption of "Cell Morphology" at the bottom of the tests.

Well, considering what I've learned, I've learned fromy'all here, I agree with you Topper. I'd say 'sTSH could come down more and the T4 could definitelycome up along with some wiggle room for the T3 to comeup a little as well. The white cell count is a littlehigh, but did say she'd had yet another sinusinfection, so that could account for that easily.=====Kathy >^,,^<KitzCat146@...http://www.heartwarmers4u.com/members/?kitzcatkitzcat2001 on Yahoo Messengerkitzcat on MSN MessengerIn a cat's eyes, all things belong to cats. - English Proverb
