Guest guest
Yes, Synthroid is the most commonly used drug for Hashi's. Jan briggy1997 wrote: Hi, . Thanks for the info. I got my most recent tests from Healthcheckusa. Too bad I didn't get the others. I had to drive an hour to get the tests I did. I guess I will request the others now, too. My doctor has ordered me a prescription of Synthroid, which I will pick up tomorrow. I don't know what dosage yet. She didn't say anything about additional testing. I probably ticked her off by getting my own. Is Synthroid used for Hashimoto's?
Guest guest
Sounds like a " $ynthroid Nazi " to me. I do NOT like synthetic T4 meds, from my own long experience on them. At the most I might supplement my Armour Thyroid with them, if I feel that the lower T4 is causing a problem for me, and that could very well be, but I'll never recommend synthetic T4 only for anyone. I believe that the other natural substances in Armour make a big impact on our recovery, as it has many of the things that our own healthy thyroids did, and some people don't convert T4 to T3 very well anyway.
