Guest guest
I am in the midst of trying to justify additional staff, something I'm sure all of us would like to do, and need a bit of help. Something every administrator, city manager, mayor, councilman, want to know is: " Why do you have to have 24 hour shifts? " and I know we don't, but I've never worked anything else. What are some of the alternatives? Which did you prefer? Why? Which did you dislike? Why? We are currently responsible for 24 hours on-call, followed by 24 hours on-duty, followed by 48 hours off. I would really like to do away with any on-call time, but still provide a second crew for our average 40 + transfers each month. Each crew is averaging around 10 hours of call-in time per week. All responses are welcome and appreciated. Please feel free to respond to my personal e-mail address.
