Guest guest
Vickie - Right! Book Rate! To central England, the book gets there in 3 days. To Dallas, 73 miles, or Houston, 200 miles, it takes 10 days here in the states. Maybe Bush or Gore can help the postal department to get moving. Have a good evening, Jim
Guest guest
Yeah, a comic book about the perils of falling, getting down and can't get up, what to do to get up from a public toilet when the rails are too high to be useful, or spilling a cup of hot coffee or glass of ice tea because the hands and fingers just don't want to cooperate anymore. But you and I know there's not much comedy with a myositis disease - at least to the one having it!!!! Jim
Guest guest
Those horrible falls - my insides quiver like jello for hours after a bad fall; laying down awhile is the only way to stop the quivering and try to get a sense of well being again - Jim
Guest guest
Thanks Jim... have you ever thought of writing a comedy book?.... LOL Vicki
Guest guest
How true Jim.... I just fell the other night. My foot twisted right out from underneath me. Once I hit he ground I tried to find some humor is all of this but it is wearing pretty thin. I'm thankful I have more weight on me (never thought I would say that). I'm sure I would have broken my hip bone by now with all the falls I've taken. Vicki
Guest guest
Thats what I do Jim, I have to lay there for a few minutes to gather myself up and make the pain go away. It knocks the wind out of me. I hate myself that it happens and always try to avoid it by watching my step and moving slowly while outside especially.....I move slow anyway... so it's at a crawl while outside. Guest guest
Hi to all, I ,m glad to hear how one feels, when one falls. I lay there a few minutes and crawl to a phone-usually I,m bledding,so I grab something to blot the wound. The last time I fell, I called 911. They lifted me back on the bed, and ask me if I was O.K. They don,t charge for this kind of a call. The next day is when I went into the Rehab. Hospital. I hit my bookcase when I fell, and made a hole in my hand--you could actually see the tendons in the wound. The wound-care people dressed it everyday with some stuff that looks like saran wrap, and I don,t even have a scar!! I have taken Fosamax and take oscal with vit. D, knok on wood, I haven,t broken any bones when I have fallen. By the way, I have fallen many times. Thanks for listening to me! Love, Ev. Guest guest
Hi Ev So glad to hear from you. As for falling, I'm hoping, now that your coming down from the Prednisone, that you won't fall anymore. Wouldn't that be nice. Are you feeling any better taking the lower dose of Prednisone? Also, how's the gal working out that comes to help you during the week? Well, take it easy and get stronger. Gentle hugs to ya, Vicki-PM
